Even though the price dropped $200 below what i paid for this only two months later, still a great bundle. Love the finish, love MGS4, and with a simple hard-drive upgrade, i love the system. There is supposedly greater cooling inside the system, due to its "bare-bones" nature, which is good, and NONE of the features removed from this SKU are missed. ValleyTechToys is an excellent seller, delivered a 1yr+ system in mint condition. Thanks Amazon and VTT!

I purchased this bundle in late November/early December and was quite happy for a while. Around 3 months after purchase, while being kept in a well ventilated environment, it started giving me issues with data. No big deal, can always play some more to unlock the stuff I had before. A couple months after that it refuses to read anything, so I flash the firmware which helps but disables online due to an error being caused when online and trying to play a game forcing a reboot of the system. I decide I can deal with no online play, but recently it refuses to read any disks at all. I've just had too many problems with this system, even though I use it very lightly (few times a month) to recommend it to anyone.

PROS:
- Aesthetically pleasing
- Relatively Unique
- MGS4 is an incredible game
- PS3 is a powerful system

CONS:
- Expensive
- Small HD (I thought 40gb would be enough for me but I ran out very quickly)
- Problematic
- Extremely problematic

I truly hope I just got a bad one because this console is quite possibly the most amazing bundle I've ever seen for a console.

The game is just simply amazing; the graphics are superb, and the gameplay is even better than amazing. The limited edition comes with a bluray disc that shows mainly behind the scenes and the making of MGS4. This feature is entertaining, but isnt anything compared to the game. The
PS3, although it is only 40gb, is a really cool color. Any fan of the series or just action lovers should buy this bundle

Its just the best buy i could ever made. If you can buy it please dont waste time and do it, you wont regreat it. The only thing you will have to change is the harddrive, its only 40 gigs but you can upgraded very easy.

I love Amazon, I recommend that everyone I know buy pretty much anything they can here. I know their customer service is almost second to none. I'm not bashing anyone here, just saying my circumstances were unusual and I've been given a bit of the run-around.

I bought this item here on Amazon about two months ago. It had been out of stock for a long time already. Upon opening the box, The L2 button on the controller was mostly outside the controller. Difficult to describe, should have taken a picture. Either it wasn't put together properly, which seemed likely, or it wasn't brand new, which is what I'm beginning to wonder. I didn't feel comfortable enough to fix it myself, so I started making calls. There was nothing Amazon could do but give me a refund, since they were out of stock, and I didn't want that. I called Sony, who had me pay to ship my controller in for repairs. Almost two months later, hey, at least I still have the Limited Edition Gunmetal Grey controller and not a regular black one, but they didn't fix it! The button is inside the controller now, but it doesn't have any give-and-take to it, any spring-y-ness, its just broken, and the L1 button feels about the same now too. I called Sony, and they don't have any way of looking up my situation in their records. Now I've turned to youtube videos about how to disassemble and reassemble a controller. Wish me luck. Thanks for nothing, Sony! Looking forward to maybe playing MGS4 some day!
