this device is very easy to us and i think that the reviews, updates, and maps and just awsome and the bluetooth makes things alot easier while driving when you get a call, great quality screen and voice feature just makes it great... this would make a great gift for any driver

It doesn't know where everything is but it does well for most request. The features are good but the bluetooth is intermittent. Doesn't sync up all the time.
It's a good unit overall. It beat the others pretty good.

I've had this product for about 2 - 3 months. I had problems with updating the maps via Freshmaps. It gave me some error that the device wasn't being recognized. I sent an email to customer service, which replied and told me to fill out a form. I filled it out, and i'm still waiting for a response over a month and a half later.

The screen freezes sometimes, however it mostly happens when you travel for a long time. It also doesn't feel as sturdy as other GPS devices so you may have to touch the same thing over and over to get a response.

Satellite reception on this device is excellent. I later purchased a Garmin nuvi 850 and it takes forever to get reception. I'm actually contemplating returning the nuvi and keeping this navigon with all its issues.

The TTS is kinda shaky, definitely not as clear as the garmin. Sounds almost robotic sometimes. I find the voice recognition to work really well actually. After the first couple tries, it recognized everything I was saying, and I have an accent.

Using the POI's is not very clear as well. IMO it is too categorized. For example, I wouldn't know if walmart will fall under grocery, or shopping, so its very easy to pick the wrong category. Just asking for a city + state + a keyboard to type in the name of the place would have done the trick.

And the keyboard.... So far I dont think it has any qwerty keyboard options. The letters are arranged in order
e.g a,b,c,d,..........., y,z. If you are used to using the keyboard on your computer or any other device, then using this keyboard will be such a pain. I guess its nice for people that do not really know how to use any other electronic keyboard.

Do I recommend it? Maybe... The immediate satellite reception is a keeper, the screen is a beauty, and i like all the detail. However, the lack (or absence) of customer service and all the bugs that factory ship with the device is worth getting rid of it.

Now if only I can get a GPS device that has good customer service, updates, reliable and gets immediate reception.. my life will be almost perfect.

I have had 2 Garmins before this one. The 1st Garmin (Model:C330) I bought for $450 was good for its time but the accuracy was lagging and it was rather slow. My 2nd Garmin (C550) was much better, it had a good feature set but failed after 15 months use (it suddenly stopped working). The Navigon so far...is quite impressive. It functions well and is certainly a class above the Garmins I have owned. It picks up the satelites pretty quickly but not as quick as the C550. It re-calculates almost instantly and does not tell you that it is re-calculating. The Graphics are 2nd to none. Its sleek but is a bit finiky with the touch screen. The question is: would I buy it again and my answer: YES, almost certainly. I am bit surprised NAVIGON failed in the US, this model is way way better than what is offerred as an alternative. AND Free traffic for life - cannot beat that at any price. None of the other manufacturers have that feature without advertising! Anyway everybody knows Germany makes the best stuff !

2 Star Rating  "Piece of junk w/only 30 day warr from Amazon then deal with factory !"2009-09-26

I owned the 2100 Navigon...it had similar problems to the 7200T...wouldn't turn on sometimes...reset...lose all your settings.

But I figured I would give the 7200T a chance since I liked the views on the 7200t, and they are very nice...traffic updates are great...
But, today I went to use it and the stupid thing won't turn on. I went through the usual reset...hold power...yadayada....nothing...at all.
Tried a diff power supply from Navigon...nope....tried removing the card...resetting...on & on..nothing at all. Screen won't light up or anything.

So, I contacted Amazon...get some lady in India who can't speak English for anything and she says...I am so sorry sir..but there's only a 30 day warranty.
You must contact the manufacturer for that problem.

so here I am 3 months after buying this BRAND NEW, and it's a paperweight... I'm ticked off..I wasted some pretty good cash on this piece of junk.

My son has a nuvi that works perfect...EVERY TIME...no reset needed...So I'm done with Navigon...I couldn't care less about the 'nice' screens..etc..
it means absolutely nothing if the stinking GPS sucks...or in this case (an many others I've read on the net) doesn't work at all after a short time.

When I first got it, I had problems and figured it was firmware..updates...fixable...well..kind of, but obviously Navigon left the U.S.A. because they knew there was a backlash of their junk coming back at them. Shame on them for scamming so many of us.

DON'T BUY THESE NAVIGON UNITS...IT'S NOT WORTH WASTING YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

Get a Garmin or something...anything but these.
