Product Description
When you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one If your life was all you had to give, how could you not give it If it was someone you truly loved

To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife have led her to the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or to pursue a fully human life has become the thread from which the fates of two tribes hangs.

Now that Bella has made her decision, a startling chain of unprecedented events is about to unfold with potentially devastating, and unfathomable, consequences. Just when the frayed strands of Bella's life-first discovered in Twilight, then scattered and torn in New Moon and Eclipse-seem ready to heal and knit together, could they be destroyed... forever

The astonishing, breathlessly anticipated conclusion to the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.

Editorial Review
Great love stories thrive on sacrifice. Throughout The Twilight Saga (Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse), Stephenie Meyer has emulated great love stories--Romeo and Juliet, Wuthering Heights--with the fated, yet perpetually doomed love of Bella (the human girl) and Edward (the vampire who feeds on animals instead of humans). In Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final installment in the series, Bella’s story plays out in some unexpected ways. The ongoing conflicts that made this series so compelling--a human girl in love with a vampire, a werewolf in love with a human girl, the generations-long feud between werewolves and vampires--resolve pretty quickly, apparently so that Meyer could focus on Bella’s latest opportunity for self-sacrifice: giving her life for someone she loves even more than Edward. How close she comes to actually making that sacrifice is questionable, which is a big shift from the earlier books. Even though you knew Bella would make it through somehow, the threats to her life, and to her relationship with Edward, had previously always felt real. It’s as if Meyer was afraid of hurting her characters too much, which is unfortunate, because the pain Bella suffered at losing Edward in New Moon, and the pain Jacob suffered at losing Bella again and again, are the fire and the heart that drive the whole series. Diehard fans will stick with Bella, Edward, and Jacob for as many twists and turns as possible, but after most of the characters get what they want with little sacrifice, some readers may have a harder time caring what happens next. Everyone gets their happy ending!

Bella doesn't have to deal with the difficulty of being a newborn or the fact that Jacob is still in love with her. That she was supposedly giving up the chance for a human family and children is thrown out the window with (ough) Renesmee.

Renesmee, the creepy demon child, gives Bella all the "good" parts of being a parent and lets her skip over all the "bad" parts. This storyline reads like a pregnant teen's wishful fanfiction, not something a published author would put in a book.

Then there is the Volturi. Weren't these guys (in a much better book earlier in the series) the only thing keeping vampires from ravaging the human population?

This leads us to the new allies the Cullens find for their standoff. I was very uncomfortable with the Cullens, who are good guys, cozying up to what are essentially blood sucking fiends. Oh well, at least we got a good fight scene out of it... (that was sarcasm, btw)

I don't even want to mention Jacob imprinting on the creepy demon child. It was too sad, disturbing and horrible.

The last thing that comes to mind is Charlie. I didn't find it at all believable that he would not want to know what was going on with his daughter just because there was supernatural stuff going on.

I think I could have liked this book had Edward had his way. They should have sucked Renesmee out before she could tear her way out of the womb in her mission to ruin the Twilight Saga.

I really wish I had stopped reading after the wedding.

Ok folks, let's remember the target audience for this series is young adults, so if you want better written fiction, pick a more prolific/experienced author. I read the first three books and they were engrossing enough that I didn't get nitpicky on a couple of typos and the repeated use of descriptions like "tightened"--it doesn't matter really because the author is relying very heavily on the reader's imagination throughout the series.
I saw the bad reviews on book 4 but I bought it anyway just to complete the story. Book 4 is hilarious! I see now why Stephanie Meyers added "comedy" to the book/series description. I love the chapters told from Jacob's point of view, he is such a smarta$$. Yes this one could have used more action at the end, but kids aren't buying the book for action, they're buying it for romance. So, given that I do have to agree that the whole marriage /honeymoon chapters definitely needed MORE, what's done is done, it's published. Let's move on.
Oh, and yes, Bella pretty much gets everything she wants (just like Barbie) at the end and why wouldn't she? She is the epitome of stereotypical "white girl". It makes perfect sense to me. What doesn't make sense is that Midnight Sun was never completed (see SMeyers official website). It's much more interesting a read. So much is written from Bella's point of view, I was left wondering what Edward saw in her and how much he had to go through to deal with her as well as deal with his feelings for her (both romantic and vampiric) and what little there was to read in Midnight Sun answered that question.

I absolutely loved books 1 and 2 - took about 3 days to read each of them. Had a hard time getting thru book 3 and an even harder time getting thru book 4 - so much so that I subjected myself to the horrible reading on the audiobook. Way TOO MUCH fluff and filler and a very disappointing ending. She spends 3/4 of the book working her way up to the "confrentation" and then everyone lives happily ever after. Very poorly written - she could have gotten her point across in 3 book all equal to the size of the first book. VERY DISAPPOINTED and sorry that I wasted my time with this series.
