"Works great for us"

We love our dvd player! It has lasted through 2 kids and still works great. Only complaint is I wish the buttons were on the side instead of the front so my 1 year old would not restart the dvd player all the time. Never had a problem with it and it has held up really well!

We purchased this toy for my daughter when we saw it on sale but held onto it until her birthday...
By time we gave it to her, the store return policy had expired. It only worked for a few months and quit playing dvds. Although the product is suppose to be "kid tough", my daughter was never rough with it and it still quit working?!? I contacted Mattel and they said that they would send us a new one but instead we received a REFURBISHED dvd player that was in much worse shape than the one we had. So disappointing... beware of this dvd player!

My parents got my daughter of these Fisher price dvd players, and right off the bat it stopped working. The button to press play never works. Now they don't charge or keep a charge so you have to keep plugged in. Seriously these things are a waste of money. Plus the screen is smaller than my iphone screen. Give me a break fisher price!
"Works pretty well, kids love it, life saver on long trips"

We have two, a pink one for a girl and a blue one for a boy. Are they perfect? No, but they are pretty good for what they are - kids players. We are very happy with them overall and the kids each love theirs.
With just a little supervision, they can be used by very small children. Ours started as young as 2. They are fairly tough. They can take some banging around. Ours have never broken or badly malfunctioned, but then they haven't had that much rough treatment. We are trying to teach the kids to respect things that need careful handling. So far, so good.
The kids absolutely love them. They can put them on their laps and it's theirs. Many times they prefer them to the big screen TV. I think it makes them feel more in control.
The screen is small, but kids have no problems at all. I have even seen 2-3 kids watching the same screen.
They sometimes skip a bit and I think one froze once, but overall they work and there have been no major failures.
They do take quite awhile to come up at first and I have never figured out exactly what all the buttons do. Many buttons cause it to start over from the beginning of the DVD. Trying to get them to pause and then start right back up has been a problem, but then maybe I just don't know how to work them right.
One charge lasts about an hour or maybe a little more. We like that. When they run out of juice, we can get the kids to do something else, like go to bed. ;-)
They sure make long plane trips and waiting in the boarding area much easier.

We were so excited to get this for our 3 year old for Christmas last year. We didn't have it for 3 mos before it started malfunctioning. It just won't play the dvd's. It has a very short battery life-2 hours at best. We didn't get all the extra stuff it requires like some other parents and I'm glad we didn't. I assumed that it would be a good product because the kid tough cameras seemed to work out pretty well, so I didn't do any research on this and it was a pretty quick purchase and I thought the perfect thing. Bottom line, don't waste your money on this one.
