| The game and the ds is in good condition. The only thing I got disappointed is i didn't know that the carrying case is not the carrying case shown on the picture even if it's alrdy used. I thought that it will be the same thing but it's not! I just hope that next time the information about the used stuff will be more specific if it's quite different with the new ones. Hoping there will be available pictures too for the used so at least could still choose whether or not to buy the used from new. |

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. The whole family loves it. But about 4 months after we got it it stopped working. The charge light would come on but the unit would not turn on. There was no power at all. I went to the Nintendo website to trouble shoot the problem. I was directed to call their 800 customer service number. I spoke with a fantastic service rep (who was from and in the US) and she set up a repair for us. They email a fed ex call tag and get it back to you in 11-15 days. I was so impressed with the nintendo customer service that I am now a HUGE Nintendo fan!
Even though we had problems with our DS I would recommend this game system to anyone. The carry case is adorable, Brain Age is super fun and there are many fun games for any age. |

unfortunately I was very disappointed with my purchase I was supposed to receive a bundle (which was advertised) but I only received the DS no carrying case no game. When contacting the seller he said too bad so sad.
(not in those words, but pretty much)
Other then I felt a lot cheated, the DS is awesome. |

Nintendo DS Lite Limited Edition Ice Blue with Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! And Carrying Case Bundle
I bought this Ice Blue Nintendo DS Lite with the intent of using it to play the Crosswords game with my granddaughter, although it came with the Brain Age game which I also enjoy. I could not make up my mind between the Ice Blue or the Rose Metallic colors, but finally took a chance that I'd like what they call 'Ice Blue'. I found it is really almost identical to Crayola's 'robin's egg blue' color - so much so that I scribbled some of that color next to the console in the pictures I offered just so you can see how really nice this 'blue' (but to me seems more 'green') color really is. Also, the richness of the color is intensified by the hard clear plastic protective covering that surrounds the top and bottom parts of the console. It add a bit of additional depth to the color which I really enjoy. The rest of the game, inside and out, is of a 'matte' finish. The front edge has a sliding volume control, a 'slot 2' for some gameboy cartridges, and a headphone/mic outlet. I've used both the Nintendo head/mic offered as well as just earphones from various manufacturers. You get a bit more accuracy with voice commands using a mic in a noisy environment, else the mic in the console works fine. The right edge has a slot for the stylus and a power button that slides to the right to turn on or off. Some people who complain about the unit discharging too fast are probably either forgetting to turn the unit off before they close it (even though there is a flashing indicator light warning you've done this) or they've adjusted the brightness of the screen to a high level. I'm still using mine at the factory settings and don't see a need to change them. The back edge has spring-loaded buttons on the right and left corners for use in games. They are responsive and easy to use. In the center of the back edge is 'slot 1' where you load the Nintendo DS games. You push the game into it until it clicks to lock in-then push it again to release it. (You can't just yank the game cartridge out if it's in the locked position.) To the right of slot 1 is the outlet to plug the power adaptor into it to either charge the battery or play plugged in. To the left of slot 1 is a place where you can hang a lanyard to carry the console. I prefer to use the very nice patent leather case supplied with the console. On the bottom, the replaceable rechargeable battery is enclosed by a cover secured by a tiny screw.(I've not needed to replace anything with this unit, and I've had it for 4 months so far without problems.) The left edge of the unit has no features at all, just a smooth surface. When you open it, the lid and base each has a screen, with the lid's screen being a little bit smaller than the base's. You tip the console sideways, as if it were a book, if you play the Brain Age or Crosswords games. (I have liked playing both these games.) I bought a screen-saver for the bottom screen which is the only one you should ever 'touch' with finger or stylus. Nintendo warns you not to put any screen-saver on the top screen, so I have not. Unfortunately, I've not yet found screen-savers sold that are just for the bottom only, so the top ones I have to discard since they are smaller so they don't properly cover the bottom screens. Centered on the hinge is a small slot. This is the mic or microphone. It works well, but if you are in a very noisy area, you might prefer the headphone + mic accessory. On the far right on the hinge there are 2 small light strips: the one furthest to the right edge indicates green for power on (or flashes green if the console is closed but the power was not turned off); the one next to it indicates red for battery needs recharging, or indicates yellow when the unit is charging, then green when it is fully charged and ready for use. The control buttons to the right and left of the bottom screen are used in game play. I find the stylus works great for writing letters or numbers on the touch screen. My only warning is to never forget which screen you can really touch, so you don't damage that upper unprotected screen.
The case: The patent leather case matches the color of the console and secures with a snap closure that has a metal plate with the Nintendo logo stamped into it. The paten leather is machine stitched with matching thread. When you open the lid of the case, the interior is black and feels like suede. A bit of black elastic a little over an inch wide is stitched into the lid. It is sized to hold 3 game cartridges, but I also put the little screen cleaning cloth (supplied with the console) in there for handy use. The bottom part of the case holds a compartment in which the console is secured by a zipper with 2 pulls, making it easy for you to choose where you want those zipper pulls to hang (either hidden behind the snap closure, or hanging visible to one side or other of it). The top and sides of this inner case is the same Ice Blue color as the exterior and lined with a felt material that rises up to protect the console from the zipper teeth then zipped closed. Nice design. At first it seemed too snug to me, but I learned that if I put the console in with the front edge first, then guided the rear edge into the felted compartment, it was a nice snug fit with no chance of damage or scratches.
Overall, I liked the design and function of this game console and the case that came with it. Even if I did not like the Brain Age game (which I do), I'd have chosen this one for the color of the console and case, and the sturdiness of the case. |

| I love this color! I had wanted a DS for a really long time but I don't like red or pink. The other colors didn't appel either, thought I would have to get plain silver and find some kind of skin....As soon as I saw this set I ordered it. I had seen it on Ebay but had to order from Japan, or some where. And then when I saw the set came with the Brain Age, that was one of the games I wanted too. The part of the game I knew about was great but then I found it had suduko too. I never could figure those puzzles out till I got this. I love being able to put the 'little' numbers in while you figure it all out, would be really messy on paper. I love suduko now. This is a great set! My 7 yr old neice wanted to trade me colors too. They thought it was cool that their old aunt had a game like theirs. LOL The only thing better would have been this set in a green about the same shade. |

| This was bought for an 11 year old girl. The blue is very much loved because it is different than most of the kids' DS's. Definitely getting used. |
