Fun game, but disappointed in songs that are for practice. Needs better instructions, Had to get my daughter to show me how to play.

i bought this game for my daughter, so my review is based on her enthusiasm. she really says that she loves the game and she plays it on a daily basis. i like to hear some of the songs that i remember as a kid, and seeing my 14 year old singing and trying to play them.

This game is really cool, I purchased both this one and the Aerosmith one, and i've played this one much more than the other one, it really gets you into the character of a rock star, it's so much fun!!!

I've been playing this game for nearly a week now, and it's actually pretty fun. Here are my pros and cons.

Pros:
Nice graphics
The guitar's easy to use
Song list has something for everyone
I thought having Ozzy and Sting in the same band together was funny

Cons:
I've never even heard of nearly half of these bands
Loading times are excruciating
Too much in-game advertising
Tutorials section would be a lot better if you didn't have to wait for it to reload if you fail a lesson

This is my first-ever Guitar Hero game and I have to say it's not too bad. My biggest gripe is the loading times. It takes nearly 15 seconds to start up a new song. Not cool.

My favorite part was seeing Ozzy in video game form singing Crazy Train. Not too shabby. They definitely kept his "aura" about him. But it is a bit sad when his character is singing to a different artist's song. That goes for all of the other real life characters in the game.

Overall, my feeling is great at first, then after you get used to it, kinda dull. It would have been great if the PS2 could have been included in the downloadable content bandwagon. All they'd have to do is just have PS2 users plug in a usb memory stick for storage. Oh well.
