• Can I just buy the phone and not the AT&T plan?
  No.
  iPhones in the US are currently sold only through AT&T and if you really want one, you should consider changing your current provider. However, if you are the "tech" type and don't mind purchasing an iPhone without a warranty, and have a GSM carrier, then you can checkout unlocked iPhones here. (be prepared to pay much more however)
• I already have an AT&T plan, can I use that instead of getting a new one?
