I got this for my wife after her Sony started taking a nose dive towards the dumpster.
I installed it and started messing with the buttons and features. Took me quite a while to figure out how to adjust everything witht he volume knob moving all over the place to scroll through everything. They could of made this a bit easier.
The sound of this was decent as well, I have no complaints on it.

I have yet to have any issues with this receiver. I mainly got this player because it is able to play all music file formats i have, and it does with out unusual delays or unsettling surprises. Controls are easy to learn and adjust to. The only things i have an issue with (on a minute scale) is the glow from the lights. Wish there was some sort of light timer or dimmer (i may have not found it yet). Also wish the main "select" ( or "enter") button was somewhere besides in the center of the wheel, I tend to push up/left/right/down more times than the center. Overall I'm 99.99% satisfied!
"Not very happy with this unit."

What a TPS. It's impossible to drive down the road and do something as simple as change the balance from left to right. You have to screw down thru several layers of displays to get what you want. The big knob on the front is hard to grip and has so many functions imbeded into it that you constantly end up where you don't want to be.
And the clock. The CLOCK. After several trys over a period of weeks to find the clock settings which must be buried in the mirad of other functions that you don't want to touch, I gave up. So here is how you adjust the clock on the TPS. You wait until it is exactly 11:45:45 am and you unhook the battery in the vehicle for 15 seconds and then you hook it back up. Works great and you can quit pulling out hair and screaming at the TPS. It doesn't care.
And I will not buy another Pioneer product, ever.

I have owned and loved a few Pioneer decks over the years. This is the first that does not have preset buttons for the tuner. Luckily I don't use the tuner too much, but it is a major pain in my rear when I do. The multi control button is cumbersome and often simple functions require several steps to achieve. It definitely takes some getting used to and a lot of memorization. Highly recommend the i pod interface cable, which allows you to control the i pod from the deck. Where as with the auxiliary port you can only control from the i pod itself. I gave this deck four stars for sound quality and connectivity of several different devices.
