I tried years ago to accomplish what I did with these speakers recently. Years ago I bought cordless speakers from Radio Shack. They were useless as the audio would break up and snap crackle and pop - no good. Radio Shack is good about taking things back and they were back the very next day.
With that in mind I was a little scared to try these. Boy, am I glad I did. My wife and I are getting on up there in age and both have to wear hearing aids when we go out. I have a really nice flat screen HDTV in the breakfast room. I have tried different speakers coming off the TV. It still sounds bad. These speakers made the day. I place one behind my chair at the table on the floor as that is where an AC outlet and another on the counter all the way over to the Kitchen behind the refrigerator next to the sink where my wife usually works. The sound is fantastic and we can hear it all over the breakfast room and kitchen with the noise of the kitchen such as exhaust fans etc.. I doubt if they sound as good as Bose but they look better. One of the main things I did not like about the TV was the lack of base response. Now we have a full range of sound including base. I should mention that I took the output of the HD DVR (Scientific Altanta 8300HD) directly on the output of the regular left and right channels and used the HDMI output directly to the TV. These transmitter speakers only use regular RCA input.

I bought these for a friend of mine who needed to quickly add outdoor speakers for some upcoming parties. Everything worked perfectly. The sound quality is better than I expected and improved even more when I mounted the speakers on a wall, which really helped the bass. Range was excellent and battery life is good as well. The only downside I ran into is that the IR remote has to be aimed pretty much directly at each speaker individually as I had them fairly well seperated and couldn't control them both at the same time. Not really a bid deal at all.

Speakers work fine and are convenient to set up. Does not handle loud volume very well, tends to distort . One disappointment is the range, not quite near advertised. One outside wall and about twenty feet from the based and it seems to be at the fringe of reception. Suits my purpose for the price.

These speakers are exactly what we were looking for. We take them camping, we take them to our cabin and then we take them back home as well. They sound great and all friends and family like them as well! Looking forward to buying a few more to add to these so we can have more speakers outside around our house. We like to plug these in because it seems the batterys go rather quickly. Would recommend these to anyone. These can be plugged in to the stereo, tv, IPOD..anything...it's great!

I've seen these in action and my wife wanted them for the pool deck. They have good range & nice sound quality. No stereo, no huge bass. If your looking for something with kick look elsewhere. RCA cables come with it so dont buy those unless you want extras. Bought some rechargeable batteries and now we're set.
I read the reviews before ordering these speakers and decided that Amazon has always done a great job with any return I have had so if I wasn't happy I could fix it. I AM SO SATISFIED!!! I have one speaker above the computer hutch, which does a great job filling the room with sound. The other one is located in our kitchen. There is zero feedback and zero interference. I tried a few different genres of music and crank the speakers up and it was great sound through and through. I am pretty darn picky about everything but I am especially touchy about sound quality. I get a headache from the combination of poor quality and loud sound. These sounded great set at quiet, medium and loud!!! Our I Mac is basically the hub of all our entertainment. We use I-tunes for all our podcast and music organization. We use Netflix for our movies. Now I can set the kids up with something to watch and I can listen while I run around the house doing other things. I am still aware of what they are being exposed to but I am not stuck in the living room to make sure they aren't exposed to something I would not feel comfortable with them watching. On the flip side when I am on one of my supercharged cleaning kicks I choose one of my I-tunes folders, hit play, and now anywhere I go in upstairs I can hear the music or the podcast I chose. Before I would crank the speakers on the computer but once I left the living room it was a concentrated effort to stay tuned into it. I think we might order another pair so that we have sound downstairs as well. These are a must buy if you need to re-locate sound to other areas of your house!!! Extra bonus, all three pieces of equipment came with AC/DC adapters, so no wasted money on batteries!!! Some people complained about the remote control not working properly. Ours works perfectly for all functions. On/Off, Auto tune and vloume control. :-)
