Okay everyone this is the first time I ever wrote a review on the items I purchase from amazon and I buy a lot of things, so you have to allow me to gush just a little. This is absolutely the greatest clippers I have ever purchased. I have purchased several clippers between 1998 and now. Maybe about 4 or 5 of them, none lasted but one and it was one of those three circle razor deals. The wahl lithium Ion is simply a great product I never seen anything like it. I received my clipper on September 11, I charged it over night and used it for the first time the next day. I didn't use it with the charger while I was using it and never put it on the charger again. During the time it was off the charger I maybe used it 6 times. I cut my own hair and it takes me about 40 - 45 minutes, this because I also trim my bread. This single charge (and here's the amazing part), last exactly 1 month and 7 days, or 5 weeks. I started to cut my hair on the 19 of October, and the clipper went dead, I charged it for 2 minutes, and finished my hair cut. I never saw anything like this, this product would be a perfect travel companion, many time I've traveled and have to take two different clippers and there chargers and if I don't charge them right away, they lose there charge with this product you won't have to worry about that. I really love this item.

Way more options and attachments that I should ever need, but once I found the right settings it works great. Nice size and good trimming capabilities. But be careful not to shave when you aren't awake yet ... may result in divots that take a few days to grow back!

First off... People, be aware of "Vine Program" reviewers. Keep in mind that these people did not pay for the item and did not actively go out and search for the product they now own. I, on the other hand, was actually looking for this here electric "clipper".

One PRO:
1- At first I was glad to see that WAHL had finally designed a shaver with a lithium battery because the nickel-cadium battiers in their other units die out way too fast. As it turns out, the battery was the only positive thing about this trimmer. I only needed to charge it fully once and it would last for approx 6 shaves.

Many CONS:
1- Rubber material covering body of unit grips TOO much. Little pieces of cut hairs will stick to it like glue! Within a week it mine was covered in little hairs. Messy.
2- The metal blades rust easily even though they were never exposed to water, only to sweat. I have never had this problem with other Wahl trimmers before.
3- This thing is loud when it's new and getts louder as it ages. After 7 months mine stopped cutting well and sounded like a mini chain saw.
4- Short life span - 7 months. Only used it 3 times a week, face only, and oiled it once a week.

Wow - this little clipper really has the power and holds the charge!! Also pretty loud and a good bit of vibration. I almost dropped it the first time I turned it on because I was so surprised by the noise and vibration. But I've been using it for my buzz cut at least every 10 to 14 days for about 3 months - still on the first charge and it's still going strong. I'm amazed at how long the charge is holding. My last clippers (ConAir) would only work for two clippings before dying. I guess this thing would be called either a large trimmer or small clipper. I've only used the T-blade clipper and foil head shaver. The clipper blade could be larger as it takes quite a while to complete the job. The foil shaver head is small also, but works good for a foil shaver. I've only actually shaved my head a couple of times with it - it worked but took a long time. If you really want it smooth though, you'll still need a blade. The small size makes it good for travel. However, the storage tray is a piece of junk. It's very flimsy, looks more like a packaging tray, and if you touch anything it all falls out. It would be much better if it came with a closing storage case.
Biggest complaint - the rubberized covering on the handle, while very comfortable to grip, is like a magnet for the hair clippings. The clippings stick to it like glue and the only way I've found to get them off is to brush and rub it with a dry wash cloth. And it's virtually impossible to get all of the clippings off.
Overall, though, I really like this clipper and would recommend it.
