I bought a similar version of this toaster oven at Costco.

I like it, and I'm glad that I bought it. However, one word of warning ... the temperature varies from the front to back of the oven. This is most obvious when you're cooking a frozen pizza. When the front reaches an appropriate level of doneness, the back is slightly burnt ... every time.

I'd still buy it again, though. Just rotate the pizza halfway through. :)

I adore this oven! Yes, it takes about 4 minutes to make a piece of toast. No, I don't care because it's so perfectly cooked. (Since you can see exactly how much time it has left to cook, it also makes it easy to time your other items--sausage in the microwave, etc.) We were just honestly trying to replace an under the counter Black & Decker toaster when I ordered it and I had no idea I was getting such a state-of-the-art appliance. We've made a 12 inch pizza in it, baked potatoes, yeast rolls. Since it's just the two of us, I can now see many opportunities for us to not even turn our big oven on.

The controls are easy to learn. Love the timer and the alarm that goes off when your toast/food is done. Does a fabulous job with English Muffins on the bagel setting. And I honestly don't have any problem with the crumb tray sliding out from the back. It's not that hard to turn around and it looks squeaky clean again once you empty out the crumbs. And it's stainless steel appearance is very pretty. It actually looks great sitting on our countertop.

Overall, I am SO pleased with this purchase and highly recommend the Cuisinart if you're looking for a great toaster oven AND a second oven!

We have had two of these. The door has broken on both of them. The spring-loaded arm becomes out of alignment and the door won't close. I was able to fix it by bending the arm assembly for a while, but now it is shot. It also gets extremely hot to touch and the rack/tray does not extend out when the door is opened. You have to use a mitt or pot holder and the tray is awkward to remove as a result. It functioned well when it was working, but the door is cheaply attached and prone to failure. Time to try something else, but the reviews of all the products keep me guessing if any company produces anything of quality anymore!

I bought this Cuisinart TOB-195 after reading many, many reviews on this one and several of my other favorites. I decided on this one after determining this product had the best user satisfaction with only a couple cons. Also my other favorite had several reviews saying it caught fire and quit working after 8 months. Thank you other reviewers for saving me from having to find that out the hard way. It does cook as they say perfectly-everything comes out juicy even things like chicken breast that can be dry. But you "Must" read the instructions on rack placement and remember to use the very important tip-to put in 1/4 cup water in drip pan before cooking on it and don't use foil. It keeps down the grease collection and spatters so virtually no cleanup of the oven after. Plus have to remember to leave door ajar when broiling. I have been totally happy with how everything has come out in it and was worth the extra money. The old saying-when are you ever sorry you bought the best definitely applies here. Now as far as the cons-burning your hand on the door when opening-hold the handle palm up and will prevent this from happening and the other con I saw listed often was the crumb tray pulling out from the back-because of the size -is not a problem as most counters will easily accommodate turning it around to remove and very easy to do. To me both of these are no brainers when you weigh it against all the positives that this Cuisinart offers. They were selling this at BB&B for 179. and with the 20% off coupon paid the same and didn't have to wait for delivery. Otherwise Amazon had the best price and see they have lowered the price further since I looked at it earlier. Will update later if I find any flaws but can't see any at this point. Does everything promised and does it well.Hope this review helps someone as I have been helped by others in the past.

I bought this for my girlfriend so she could bake potatoes and make cooooookies without heating up the gas stove and therefor heating up the whole house... It rocks. It toasts evenly and fairly quickly. Great investment if you want a do-it-all oven and don't have the space for three separate appliances. It is rather huge, so get out the tape measure and make sure you have the counter space before you buy. It's also a Consumer Reports best buy!

I got tired of the $30 toaster ovens that malfunction within weeks of purchase and decided to risk some more cash on a big name oven. So far I have been very happy with it. The first thing I noticed was the feel of the door when opening it - heavy enough to stand up to daily use. Factory set toast settings work well. You really can fit a frozen pizza in it. I have cooked chicken and pork chops in it, no problems. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is for the reason many others have mentioned. The outside gets really hot. You have to be careful. I would not recommend this appliance for households with very young children or seniors with unsteady hands. And read the directions first, it will make things easier.
