"Dreamy soft but . . . they leak" | 2009-09-03 |

| I was eager to try (yet another!) eco-friendly diaper. I was very impressed with how soft they were and no chemical odor when you broke open the package! I thought I had finally found "the one." Yet, they leaked - both with my 2-year-old and my 5-month-old. They just weren't up to the task of nap time or, in the case of my infant, overnight. Extra soggy diapers leaked too. I'm so disappointed and hope Huggies improves their functionality. |

| I've always been a classic Pampers person for leak protection and thinness for my little girl, and tried all store brands, Huggies, Luvs (chemically and chintzy), and everything else to try and save a penny, but always went back to Pampers. I tried Seventh Generation b/c I liked the non-chlorinated material, but they're too expensive, not durable, plasticky and not absorbent. When the weather turned hot and a coupon in my hand, I tried these soft cottony diapers on her and love them. Who wants plasticky diapers on a hot day? You have to really have a lot of pee for them to leak. They ran a little big, in my opinion. I got away with a 4, when in Pampers she was a 5, but don't base your purchase on that cuz she's a skinny minny. They're not really a true organic product, and they still litter the world. Huggies just jumped on the bandwagon, but the less chemicals in that diaper region the better I say. |

"Soft but very leaky." | 2009-08-06 |

| My baby is only 6 weeks old and I've been using these diapers along with the gDiapers flushable system. I have to say I'm disappointed in the Pure & Natural, because it seems like my son has a major leak in these at least 3 times a week. I expect more from a premium diaper. |

"Good diaper function, but not environmentally friendly as advertised" | 2009-08-02 |

I have bought these at Target several times, I had a coupon and the price was already at $18.49. The Amazon price is higher, overall the diapers are overpriced, only 104 diapers for the same price as another more environmentally friendly diaper brand including 140 diapers. Among the mainstream diaper brands, this is probably the best option, they don't have the added scent, and supposedly less plastic, and organic cotton. But nowhere on the packaging does it say non-chlorine bleach is used, so that's a big reason I won't switch to these diapers 100%. I will probably continue to buy them occasionally at the local Target. But I feel guilt about buying this brand, I prefer the 7th Generation and the Nature Baby for environmental reasons and the non-chlorine aspect. As far as function, I like how well these Huggies diaper work for my baby, absorbent, soft and light weight. |

I was pleased to see that Huggies developed this "pure and natural" line of diapers. We used regular Huggies and Huggies Supreme with our first baby. While I was pleased with their absorbency, I was never a fan of that itchy/plasticky feel. For our second baby, we used Pampers Swaddlers initially, then moved onto cloth diapers during the day. I wanted to use disposables at night, but I wasn't thrilled with the regular Huggies after using the soft Swaddlers.
I gave the Pure and Natural ones a go, and I am a fan! They are soft and absorbent. Since we've started using them, the little one has only had one leaky diaper--that's saying something since she's had some big ones!
I buy one pack per month using the Subscribe & Save program. Thanks Huggies, and thanks Amazon! |

"Great diapers!" | 2009-07-31 |

I used Seventh Generation Size NB-2 diapers but when we started my son on the Size 3's, they had a rough tab that rubbed his legs almost raw within a day. I wanted to stick with the "pure and natural" so I've started using these.
Of course, as usual, the Huggies quality is great and my son's sensitive skin has had no problems with the diapers. I gave them only 4 stars because I don't believe they're truly as pure and natural as other earth-friendly brands.
Also, they are quite expensive, but much more affordable using the amazon.com Subscribe and Save program-free shipping and a discount is unbeatable! |
