I love this watch! It rocks! The compass is reasonably accurate as long as you calibrate it correctly. The temp is affected by body heat for sure but it's always 10-15 degrees off so it's not that hard to calculate. I have not used the tide function as I don't live near the beach. It's a big watch for sure but nothing the average guy would look weird wearing. If your a small guy or have a small wrist it might be a bit big.

My only complaint - and it's small - is the indiglo function is a bit underpowered - it's not very bright - but all the hands and hour indicators glow in the dark so it's ok.

All in all I would recommend this product and buy it again if asked.

I received my watch yesterday as a birthday present from myself. After reading the instructions (advised) and setting it up, overall I love it.

There's a lot of information available on this watch, so it's sort of jammed into it. It's a bit hard to see, separate, but it's there.

The Indiglo feature is virtually non-existant. If you need to view your watch in the dark, don't bother wasting battery power -- it's useless.

I'll have to learn to use a flashlight if necessary. How'd Timex ever blow that on this one ?!? I wonder why they even bothered to call it Indiglo -- which I sought. Disappointing.

The watch band is great, very comfortable and adjustable even on my skinny wrist.

Expedition™ E-Tide Temp Compass If you are in the market for a watch that looks good then this one is for you. If however, you actually want to use the features then look elsewhere. If you get the model with the white face, you can not read the incredibly small print. The temp readings are inaccurate due to body heat; the tide predictor must be reset and does not incorporate the reality that all tides are not on a 6 hour cycle. Also, I could not get an accurate reading from the compass. I returned mine.

I had no idea that Timex made such a fabulous watch. This is used, but as the seller advertised, it is in LIKE NEW condition. I got the manual PDF file free from [...] in seconds. I feel like I got a new watch at 75% off the retail price. I couldn't be more satisfied!

I've owned several Timex watches over the years, and they all had a similar problem. The crown when you pull it out half-way to set the date just would not work after a while. And now, with the added features of this one, they all seem to go wrong. Heck, it wont even keep the correct time any more. The compass only works if you set it on a completely flat, level surface, and the temp is only accurate if you leave it off your wrist for an hour or so. Whats the point in having a wristwatch with features that only (barely) work when you take it off? Timex just doesnt make quality products, I just never knew it until I bought a watch that was actually made well.
