I got this after much deliberation. I needed a portable ipod speaker for my small apartment. This definitely does the job! you can plug it in or use batteries, which last quite a long time. No remote, but I wasn't really expecting one. sound is good - i would recommend turning off the sound limiter on your ipod if you have it on.

for a small to medium room, great sound!

Don't expect a boom box. This unit will provide fairly good quality sound to about 20 feet away; good for picnic table area; also good for desk as an alternative to laptop speakers. Sound distorts above 3/4 volume; it doesn't have tone controls; bass is not great but acceptable to me. Battery operation is simple; a great feature. Overall simple to use; compact.

This is a nice product compared to all the others out there. It's perfect if you're looking for something to just give you decent sound, portability, and no money wasted on things like alarm clocks and CD player. I checked out pretty much all iPod docks so I'm happy with the decision.

perfect product for the price . sounds awesome works with ipod. batteries last longer than most rechargeables. runs on three double a batteries and plugs into the wall. easy to use. looks like it costs hundreds but was only fifty

I am using these speakers with both an iPOD nano/4 and a Sansa Clip. Both work well. The speakers are compact and easy to use. As one would expect, the sound is limited on both the high and low ends. Reproduction is clear and fairly level. Transient reproduction is acceptable.

At about 60% volume, I seem to be using batteries rapidly. The jury's not in, as I haven't tried new high capacity batteries yet.

Overall, this is a good product for the price, and I would recommend it to a friend. (At this price)
