I bought this headset as a b-day gift for my wife. She really likes it alot. I've only had the chance to use it once and it was great. Thinking about getting rid of my Plantronics 520, and getting another voyager pro for myself.

I'm a small business owner and while the cordless phone is great, cramming it between my shoulder and ear on a continual basis while digging out information for customers isn't. My dear wife, who uses the Plantronics headset at her place of business on occasion, bought her castoff headset home for me to try and the test was disastrous. I'd pretty much decided to drop the idea of a cordless headset with my budget. Well, she prevailed and since Amazon has a good return policy, I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm very happy I did.

The Plantronics headset, while pricey for me, certainly solved the cramming issue and made it a pleasure to move around the office with ease while serving customers via the phone.

Knowing that I wanted to answer the phone remotely from around the office and in the garage and beyond if possible, I ordered the HL10 handset lifter from Amazon at the same time. (You'll need a normal handset type phone to use this system as the HL10 lifts the handset off the receiver) I had some apprehension on which phone the HL10 system would work with, as the Plantronics website phone compatibility list was a little vague, so again I conferred with the Amazon site and based on reviews I purchased the Panasonic KXTS105B desk phone. Seems like an excellent phone and has a speaker in the event you want to give your ear a rest from the headset. This purchase turned out to be another great idea.

I tested the operation and was able to answer the phone over 150 feet away by just clicking on the headset. (I verified the distance out to the street and was quite impressed)

Everything hooked up and worked just as outlined in the manual. Yes, I read the instructions first and they worked perfectly.

If I could offer a suggestion for improvement, it would be a way to secure the headset charging station base. The regular phone handset connects to the base. I've picked up the handset on occasion to answer the phone since I didn't have my headset on in time and oh, oh, here comes the charging station. I solved that issue by fabricating a mount to secure the charging station base. I'm sure two way tape would also work just fine.

I remember learning while working with Caterpillar Tractor Co. "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of the cheap price has been forgotten" I purchased a quality item, paid a little more than the cheaper systems and I received what I paid for... Top Quality.

This is not a comprehensive review. Just a brief warning. I purchased it to use on my tablet computer for voice recognition. The setup is extremely simple. It was done before I even knew it. The sound quality is typical of a Bluetooth headset, not nearly as good as the quality wired headset, which I expected. What I did not expect is that this thing does not work with speech recognition at all. It makes so much beeping in the background which renders it completely unusable for voice recognition software. In fact, I could not even pass the training session of NaturallySpeaking Professional 10.1. If speech recognition is in your mind, don't buy this product. Otherwise, it is a fine product. Obviously well made, and quite comfortable to wear as well.

I've been using this headset for a few weeks and I really like it. It's much more comfortable than the last one I used, the Plantronics Voyager 520. The Voyager Pro is not the most stylish headset out there, and it isn't the smallest. But what do I care? I use it almost mainly from my home office. It has great call quality and I can wear it all day with no problem. For me, it's just perfect.

I've owned several Motorola Bluetooth earpieces, and most recently a BlueAnt Z9i (which was a great earpiece until the rubber tip disintegrated and the rubber in the ear hook failed to keep the ear hook from sliding off). I use an earpiece at work, so going without was not an option.

I looked at several earpieces, including the latest Aliph Jawbone, but the price didn't seem justified.

The Plantronics Voyager Pro is *not* the most stylish earpiece ever. With the electronics built into the portion which fits behind your ear, it looks a little like an old-fashioned hearing aid. However, the sound clarity is excellent, the best I've ever had; the resistance to wind was as good or better than my previous Blue Ant Z9i, which was touted for being able to tune out wind noise, and it paired up instantly with my Blackberry Curve (the Blue Ant proved to be a little finicky).

Notwithstanding the size of the Voyager, I found that it fits very comfortably behind my ear, and the the mini-boom mike works well. Being able to adjust the angle of the mike is actually a benefit, because you can make it fit your face.

All in all - this unit works well. That's what I buy an earpiece for.

This is an excellent headset. I find it to be comfortable, but my foremost criteria is sound quality. The second criteria is range.
This headset is as good as a corded phone. It supresses wind noise where previously, a hard-wired headset would be unusable. Originally I purchased a Plantronics Voyager 835. That unit was so bad that I exchanged it for another one thinking that it must have been a defect. The second 835 was different! but still lousy. It started to distort about 4 ft away from my head. The Plantronics Voyager Pro is night and day different from the 835. The Voyager Pro is undistorted up to 30 ft from the phone!
