This purchase of the Altec Lansing FX3022 Expressionist BASS speakers was an excellent acquisition, at an excellent price. The deal is exceptional, all the way around, and typical of Amazon, it was an effortless purchase. Keep up the good work.

I'm really happy with these speakers. The only thing that i would wish for would be a longer connecting cord between the two units. It is obviously designed to sit on the desktop at the side of the computer so the cord (which is not detachable) is only long enough to serve that purpose.

I bought these intending to use them in the living room. i"ve connected them to the airport express and now can play my itunes library from the couch with the itunes remote on my iphone. It was really easy to set these speakers up for that purpose with the included cord. i was hoping however to put them on the end tables on either side of the 6 foot couch. The cord is too short for that so for now one speaker is on the table and another on the floor.

Also when i had these directly connected to the computer for a time the cable connection to my imac (using the audio out jack) would send all system audio to the speakers. i never did figure out how to connect these speakers and also have the built in computer speakers remain active. I didn't try very hard since i didn't intend to keep the speakers in that set up permanently.

What can I really say about these speakers besides that through and through they are amazing. They have a sleek look: tiny, curvy, and smooth and a sound that matches some of the better sound systems.

Setup was also fairly easy and it's really easy to just plug and play. The fact that the base exists as part of the unit, as well, keeps setup easy and allows you to take up less room for your speaker system (something someone who uses a laptop from time to time like myself finds very pleasing).

A lot of other people went into detail beyond my own comprehension about the sound... All I can say is I'm a normal guy who plays video games with his computer and hooks up his ipod to speakers at parties and I enjoy these little guys.

While they are very nice speakers and will suit my purposes they just don't have the volume that I expected. If you want a stylish pair of speakers that will complement your computer this is the pair and the clarity is very good. Just not enough volume.

Computer speakers seem to come in two varieties -- you've got your pile of small satellite speakers with wires strung everywhere and a big fat floor-sitting subwoofer or you've got the ever-popular free but tinny sounding little plastic disposable desk top boxes. The Altec Lansing FX3022 is neither of these but combines a sleek industrial design with sound much bigger than the package. No, you won't feel explosions in your bones with theses speakers but they will give you music with enough bite and presence and - believe or not - bass to keep you from immediately reaching for your Bass Buster ear buds. They're perfect for my cluttered home computer setup with no floor space available and very enjoyable to listen to without ear fatigue. I'd highly recommend these for anyone with limited space, a sense of style and an appreciation of all the lovely frequencies in your music.

I'm a big fan so far. They sound terrific. Great base response. Great highs. I really like the design of them as well - kinda lighthouse looking. But very original. I always hated the 3 piece sets, these are much better with the integrated subwoofer, IMO. A wee bit expensive, but worth it for nice speakers. Absolutely no feedback from my mobile phone/wifi/ or anything else either. get em'
