This book is a Godsend. It has vital information and instructions to those of us who suffer from IBS. The recipes are easy and sound very delish. I have looked for a book like this one for a long time and am glad I found it. It will begin to make my health much better once I begin to follow it in its entirety. It does require descipline in order to achieve what they describe. A must have for IBS sufferers.

After suffering for Six years with recurring I B S, and after much searching for Books on Foods and Cooking to reduce the overall affects of this Illness I came accross this book at the Public Library. There a few other books available, but this is by far the best of the best.
This book contains the greatest variety of information found anywhere to date.

i have been having digestive issues for years and have tried everything. the low fat, dairy-free, with soluble fiber has been the ticket! the only down side is there are a lot of meat recipes and dessert recipes. all in all, a great find for me!

Just read "Eating for IBS" and thought that Heather did an excellent job at providing dietary tips and eating healthy foods for dealing with this miserable and very frustrating condition. Its important to remember that "IBS" is just a catch-all phrase that the Drs. use when they can't find anything to explain your symptoms. This being the case, the cause can be anything!
Maybe you shouldn't have meatloaf and a vanilla shake for breakfeast? Or maybe the "Root Cause" could be an overgrowth of Bacteria in your intestines?? Its been proven that many "IBS Cases" started after having a bad case of Food Poisoning. I would highly recommend Dr. Mark Pimentel's Book, "A New IBS Solution" This is the ONLY book that discusses bacteria overgrowth and how to diagnose and treat it! It might be the best investment you've ever made!
