Long-Range Flexibility and Sensitivity in One Convienient Package.
The Grundig Satellit 750 brings you coverage of all long-wave, medium-wave and shortwave frequencies, as well as FM bands. Specifically, it covers three frequency ranges. The 140kHz to 30MHz frequency range grants access to long-wave broadcasts, the entire AM band and shortwave broadcasts with single-sideband tuning. This far-reaching frequency range--along with the 360-degree rotatable, directional ferrite antenna--puts you in touch with news and entertainment from across the world, and also allows reception of ham radio operators, maritime and shortwave aeronautical stations.

The 88MHz to 108MHz band covers traditional FM radio, and the Satellit 750 passes its stereo signal through to the convenient headphone jack. Additionally, this radio also receives the 117MHz to 137MHz National Civilian Aeronautical Band, letting you monitor multiple aircraft communication frequencies.
External antenna inputs can greatly increase your range

Handy Features Make For Easy Use.
The Grundig Satellit 750 tames its powerful tuning flexibility with a robust on-board memory system. It can store up to 100 stations for each of its FM, AM, shortwave and aircraft bands. The Auto Tuning feature takes the hassle out of tuning in to multiple frequencies by automatically scanning and storing stations for FM, AM and shortwave signals. The Satellit 750's front panel is also equipped for manual and direct tuning, allowing you to punch in the exact frequency you want. An analog signal meter dynamically shows signal strength, and is a valuable companion when adjusting the directional antenna or manually tuning to distant stations. The Satellit 750 also has an external antenna input, granting even broader signal coverage.

The line-in socket lets you connect and play external devices, such as MP3 players, through the Satellit 750. The handy line-out connector can send incoming audio signals to a recording device or even your home theater. Mute and separate bass/treble controls let you customize your sound. The Satellit 750 even has a dual alarm clock, making it one thoroughly robust bedside radio.

Here is what people are saying about the Grundig Satellit 750 AM/FM/Shortwave/Aircraft Band Radio with SSB
5 Star Rating  "I miss my GS750 & want another 1!"
- Reviewed By ka9jwx
My GS750 was destroyed when my p/u had a bad engine fire and I'm buying another 1 when I have the money (GS750 & p/u, 1 @ a time).
I like the analog signal strength meter, attenuator, internal/external antenna switch, seperate antenna connectors, etc.
It is a radio for the seasoned radio hobbyist, as all of it's features might be intimidating to a newbie.
But it would be to the newbie's advantage to learn how to operate this quality rig.
There is a problem w/this radio, in that looking down at the display from a sitting position (I'm 5'9") w/the radio sitting on a standard kitchen table, is a little awkward.
I decided to build a stand for the radio, that will lift the front of it up to a comfortable veiwing angle while it is still easy to access all the controls as opposed to setting the rig on a shelf at eye level.
If needed, I'll put a wrist support for computer keyboards, in front of the radio stand.
This radio is very much worth lt.

I had one back in USSR more than 20 years ago. It was a great piece of equipment MADE IN GERMANY. These days everything is made in china. However, I have to admit that this radio surpass the old one. We had it for only several days, so I can't say for how long it will last. So far we are happy with it.

5 Star Rating  "Darn nice receiver"
- Reviewed By An Amazon User
I am very pleased with this receiver. I have owned several HF receivers, including a couple of boatanchors. The boatanchors may have been better if they had been reconditioned, but they weren't. I would rate this receiver as good as or better than any I've owned. I can't understand why some are knocking the BFO. For this price of a receiver, it is very adequate. Not the best I've ever heard. However, it would be unfair to compare it with the Collins R390 I used in the Navy. It is OK indoors with an external antenna. The whip works, but that is about all. However, with an outside antenna, this thing rocks. More than enough sw stations and amateurs to keep one busy all night!

5 Star Rating  "Grundig 750 radio"
- Reviewed By An Amazon User from Salt Lick, Ky USA
I can't believe some of the reviews I'v read on this radio. I've been a ham radio operator for 33 years. I'm no expert but I know a little about radios. I would give this radio ten stars if I could. First , a radio is just as good as the antenna. The built in antenna does what it's suppose to. If you really want to get the best out of this radio connect a out side antenna. I connected my 75 meter antenna & the hams from all over was blasting in. The reception was just as good as on my Yaesu 897 & my Icom 7000.
So, if you want a fine short wave radio, this is the one.
Last, but not least. Amazon is the place to buy. Excellent service.

4 Star Rating  "Pretty nice!"
- Reviewed By An Amazon User
I got this for $280 shipped from Amazon.
I have been a ham for 35 yrs, and have had 100's of radios in that span.
I am listening to FM stereo as I type from the 750, feeding the line outputs to an integrated amp to stereo speakers. It sounds very good. I am also an audiophile. No, it doesn't stand up to my 15K home system, but it is Nice at my ham radio desk. FM is pretty good, although it is off about 4 khz for best reception...as I am listening to 102.1, but have it tuned to 102.06 for best signal.
AM is good...no complaints. SW is fine. SSB is somewhat warbly, unless you tune dead on thier frequency. You have to use the rf gain to reduce strong signals or overload occurs. Wide/narrow filter is usefull and does work, but not the best available...you know. It is STABLE...mine does not drift.
When I have time I will realign the FM to correctly track the frequency. Quality control at Grundig should have locked this on. Shame on you.
I feel it is worth what I paid. definatly. It doesn't perform like a true HF ham rig for ssb, nor a killer stereo, but it does ALOT more than my Kenwood or my Bryston audio system in one unit.
And NOTE NOTE NOTE....many complain about the BEEP when you make entries....HOLD DOWN THE "0" key and it shuts it off!!! I have read people have disassembled this radio and tore the beeper off the circuit board...not necessary!!!
Worth it? yep.

5 Star Rating  "Grundig/Eton Finally got it right!!!!!!!!!!!!"
- Reviewed By An Amazon User from NJ, USA
I just recieved my Grundig 750 from Amazon, I bought it for 270.00 free shipping.

I do not understand the bad reviews here.....

The build quality is great.

The dials are metal and good.

The Meter is not the biggest but for the size of this unit it is fine. Even the beep is ok, im not a fan of it but it can be turned off.

I have been in SWL since I was 10, I'm 43 now and have had alot of radio's.

I've also recently had a SAT 800 & Eton E1XM and this unit is better then them.

Granted this doesn't have some of the bells and whistles of the sat800 and the eton but I am old school.

This unit has a low noise floor which is great!!!! I don't want to hear the noise loud. I want to hear stations!

this pulls in all of the stations that I listen to during the day better than my Tecsun PL600 better and the noise is lower...

Even on my Sanyo rp-8880 that pulls in everything, the sat750 is equal or better... even the AM Antenna works as it should..

I want to see tonight how it pulls in AM & SW signals at night..

BUT having a SAT800 and Eton E1XM recently this unit is alot better and the build quality is ALOT better than the 800 & E1.

After reading the reviews here and on amazon I thought I made a mistake so I figured that amazon has a great return policy but I was holding my breath...

When I received it, I thought WOW it's smaller than I thought but that is OK...

This is a keeper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worth the 270.00 I paid for it.

If you expecting this to be on par with a 1K or 3K radio- FORGET IT, it's not and why would it, it's a 300.00 radio.

The sound is so nice on SW, FM, MW, AIR.

So in my opinion the negative reviews have really no merit in my book.

<-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->

OK I'm going to slam the negative reviews about this radio.

It is great build quality, after reading bad reviews I thought it was going to be cheap flimsy plastic just like the S350DL, it not.

I like it, it pulls in stations that my Tecsun and my sanyo RP-8880 cannot.

I am going to sell my other 2 radio's.

I had a sat800 and a Eton E1XM recently, many over the years since I was 11 and this 750 is great.

The BFO works great.

It's smaller than what I thought but that is ok...

I'm old school, the more buttons and dials the better but it comes down to sensitivity and selectivity of the receiver and the quality of antenna.

People on eHam and Amazon give -numbers for the unit B/C of the instructions and size of the knobs... NO... I look for what it can do, the performance...

This radio performs.. no radio is perfect but to give a radio -numbers B/C of instructions and knobs is really dumb.

The radio is a smaller radio so the meter and knobs are "Size accurate" for the size of the radio...

I don't think when radios were made in the 40's and such the company really cared about ergonomics, they made radios that worked WELL.

This radio WORKS WELL....

So I give the RADIO, NOTHING ELSE, a 10+.

It sounds great not tinny or overloaded or cheap.

They got it right this time and people should review the radio nothing else...

The sat800 was too big, AM sucked, SW was ok it ate batteries badly, it sounded good but if everything else was ok what good is it... and I had a later version of the unit, I sold it on eBay.

sAT800'S ARE STILL GOING FOR PRIME MONEY ON EBAY, I just do not understand it; basically the radio sucked....and too expensive. Granted it had a couple of more features than the 750 but I can accept it......

The Eton E1XM was a little deaf, AM sucked, SW sucked, sond sucked and it did not look like a classic SW radio.

This unit has a low noise floor which is great!!!! I don't want to hear the noise loud. I want to hear stations!

If people are expecting this to be on par with a 1K or 3K radio- FORGET IT, it's not and why would it, it's a 300.00 radio.

That's my 2 Cents....
