|I have to say I was excited the day that the Char-Broil Grill2Go ICE Portable Gas Grill arrived. As someone that travels, goes to games, and various outings, I thought this would be a great option. While the grill and cooler combo is a good concept, there are some obvious setbacks. One, as an entire unit, when filled with items in the cooler, it can get fairly heavy. It has plenty of handles, wheels, and fairly decent support, but it can be a bit to lug around.
As for cooking, this grill should get high marks. The infared technology is an excellent option and it cleans up farely well, as decribed. The cooking area is also a decent size, given the fact that it is somewhat easy to travel with. Keep in mind that it is primarly a burger/hotdog/chicken kind of grill. The height from the grill surface to the top of the limit might limit you as there's just not much height to work with.
Now, at this point I would have rated the grill a bit higher, however, I feel that the quality is somewhat lacking. There are so many plastic pieces and weak joints that I just do not feel that the unit could hold up to several years of moving around, lifting in and out of the car, etc. I really wish a bit more quality was put into the grill. Overall, I do like the concept of the product and for the right person this could be the answer to everything they were looking for.

|This is not the perfect grill and most of their marketing is bunk. However, it really is a solid contender for tailgating. Let me tell you why.
First, the bunk: the "infrared heat" and "more efficient use of gas" are not very accurate. You have a 10k BTU burner, surrounded by mirrors to reflect the heat to the bottom of what looks like a giant drip pan. The marketing seems to ride on the infrared bandwagon, suggesting searing heat in seconds (and thus the efficient use of gas) and the elimination of grease altogether. However, 10k BTU is just that and it will never be more than that - this is physics, not magic. Put some stuff in the way and it takes a long while to heat up the grill - and it never gets -very- hot and grease is not magically evaporated. You are not going to cook with cast iron on this and you are not going to be doing your Bobby Flay impression with 3-inch thick ribeye steaks.
That said, the grill does a bang up job with burgers and hot dogs - that is, tailgating food (at least for us). Plus, because of all the mirrors and giant drip plate (above the burner) the burner is not exposed to grease and other drippings. So, your burner stays cleaner and efficient than other grills. Before this grill, we used a Weber Baby Q, and the clogging in the burner was unavoidable and terribly frustrating over time - I don't think we'll have that problem with this grill.
Build quality is decent - the metal feels thinnish - but sturdies up when you have it all assembled. The wheels are not "all terrain" but do fine for tailgating for the most part. The coolers are handy - without the grill or with it. I wish there was a place to store the side shelves (we leave them behind) and that the roller handle locked in some way (if you push on it - as one often does in maneuvering - it collapses). We've taken it to Opening Day for baseball and a few other events. Now it resides at my office, where we can wheel it out as needed if we are working late. Of particular note, the Rangers were in first place when we inaugurated this grill and remain in first place as of this writing. So, apparently it comes with a lucky streak for no extra charge.

|I live in an apartment complex so the compactness was a must. The unit cooks very quick and evenly. My only beef is with the igniter, or lack of a functioning one. The unit is preinstalled upon arrival. It did not work! A call to Char Broil had a new wire and button on the way in short order. If only the replacement worked!! The three hour burn time is accurate but preheat time eats into this. I would however recommend this unit if the above items do not bother you|

|This is a great little unit! It does take some time to put together, and a novice DIY'er should have a helper. Some of the instructions do not make any sense, but the final product is really nice. I highly recommend it for a To-Go Grill, or small patio grill, and windy environments. The wheels are very stabile and come with seperate clips that made it easier to install than the ones in the package of parts - look for a yellow piece of paper with the modified clips attached and have the unit laying on the front when installing. Lube the wheels and hinges with silicone as you put them on. Ignore the right hand and left hand designations on the hinges, just put right where it shows right (left side as you look at it from the front); it is labeled. Some parts were hidden but you eventually discover them. Very easy to move around. I suggest ordering the Char-Broil conversion tube through Amazon to attach a regular tank, to save money in propane cans. And, hold off on a cover until you see it finished.|

|I bought this for my husband for Fathers Day. We'd been looking for a portable grill for some time, but couldn't find anything that was compact and still a full height grill. Then I saw this grill and saw that it got pretty good reviews, so I bought it. When my husband opened it, he was very impressed with the design concept. We loved how it could be collapsed and had a built in cart with wheels. But once we put the grill together we were very disappointed. The materials Char-Broil used are flimsy and the grill itself is made of very thin metal. The one we bought was already dented although the box showed no signs of damage. When my husband tried to collapse the grill, part of the plastic ball bearing system broke. There's no way this grill would ever withstand trips to and from parks, camping, etc. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the concept is great. Char-Broil just needs to use stronger parts.|
