"Some Helpful tips but very expensive diet to stay on PLEASE READ!" | 2009-10-25 |

I almost decided not write this review for two reasons, 1. I didnt want to discourage other women who are interested in this plan. 2. I liked some parts of this diet.
That being said let me tell you about me first, I am 26 yrs old 5'1 and 150lbs. I chose this diet after watching some youtube videos on other peoples results. I was excited to try it cause I really wanted to lose at least 20lbs. I have been dieting and exercising for the last few years and have managed to bring my weight down from 212lbs to 150lbs. But my goal is 130lbs So I went to Borders and bought This book along with the Fat Flush Foods book.
I stuck to the diet closely avoiding all carbs, dairy, yeast, gluten, and wheat products, took the long life cocktail (flaxseeds and unsweetened cranberry water. YUCK) eating 2 eggs a day, 1 apple, veggies and lean meats. I went for 30 minute walks 3 times a week. I also took the Omega 3 Fatty acids supplement I bought at Vitamin Shoppe.
After the 2 weeks was up I lost 4 pounds. I was very disappointed. After having spent lots of money on the cranberry juice, flaxseeds, stevia plus sweetner and supplements, I was out more than $120. No joke. And I had only lost 4lbs?! So I gave it another 2 weeks. Still nothing.
I read about all of these women who claim to have lost their cellulite and 13lbs or more in the first couple of weeks on the diet I wondered why I couldnt. Well its simple, Cellutlite isnt lost that easily (try dry brushing works like a charm) and these women must be much heavier than I am and therefore have more weight to lose.
I finished off the supplements and accepted that this diet wasnt for me. Well I dont think anyone should use this diet if they are any of the following:
1. on a budget (the diet is expensive. Cranberry juice is hard to find and $9 a bottle cheapest I found)
2. Dont have access to several health food stores ( I live in Chicago and had to go to 4 different places to find these vitamins, supplements and cranberry juice for this diet)
3. Under 150lbs or have less than 20lbs to lose.
4. Dont have support( this diet is so hard to follow if your family isnt doing it with you).
Do you know how hard it is to eat on a gluten free, wheat free, caffeine free dairy free diet?
I liked the wheat free part of it because I noticed my allergies have cleared up alot. That part of it ive kept up. The rest isnt something should do long term because you can damage your body by depriving it of essential nutrients. Especially of Calcium.
What I have been doing that has worked SO FAST is walking/jogging on a treadmill 4 days a week for 30 minutes a time. I have lost 12 inches in 2 weeks! Its better to lose inches and not weight because fat weighs less than muscle but it takes up more room in our bodies. So when we lose inches we are actually losing fat! Trust me Ive done the research on it. If anyone would like to contact me for advice or support im here to help! Hopefully you found this review helpful in deciding whether or not to follow the fat flush plan.
Thanks! |

| I have not read the whole book, but I have read some of the important parts and used them in my daily life. A few little changes that I made according to the book's instructions have been wuite effective. I am quite fit and healthy, but have always had problems with cellulite. The carn cocktail and Flax Seed oil have made a world of difference. The last 5 pound are the hardest to loose, well, I have lost 3 lbs., so two more to go. Then I will just need to maintain. The book helps with that too. |

"Fat Flush works for me!" | 2009-10-13 |

This is an excellent program! As someone who never deals well with strict calorie counting (I have a big appetite) and has always struggled with blood sugar issues (hypoglycemia), Fat Flush has been an absolute godsend. The concept of lean protein, lots of good veggies and healthy fats makes so much sense.
In the past, counting calories meant I could have anything I wanted (sugary snacks, tons of bread and pasta) as long as I didn't go over my daily calorie limit. But almost everyday I would give in because I was constantly starving and my blood sugar was on a roller coaster! When it was low I found myself eating to boost myself up, and when it was high, I felt like I needed something filling to bring me back down. It was horrible! This all led me to eat more and more things that I would always regret later.
With Fat Flush, I fill up easily and the cran-water is the key that keeps my sugar cravings and blood sugar stablized...especially mid-morning and mid-afternoon between meals when I used to find myself on the hunt for the nearest sugar fix.
I don't think that every diet is necessarily for everyone, but Fat Flush is definitely for me! I recommend it to everyone I know, and have seen so many amazing results from friends and family.
Thank you Dr. Gittleman for this book...it has changed my life! |

| A wonderful program, I lost 20 pounds (and many inches) in just a few months. People who haven't seen me in years don't recognize me at first, then often remark "you look so youthful!" My coworker also did this plan, and lost 20 pounds...and now has a flat stomach at age 50! |

| I was probably fooling myself into thinking I could follow this regimen, but I found the book full of interesting information on how our bodies interact with food and food preservatives that I hope to integrate into my current regimen. I made a couple of the recipes and they were SO bland. I like the cranberry-water and the morning lemon water, and noticed that the cran-water really helped curb my sweets urges, but this was just way too difficult for me to follow. |
