| At Cloona Health Retreat where we specialize in gentle detoxing we cannot keep a copy of this book in our library as it invariably walks! A long time published but as valuable today as when first appeared. Clear illustrations of the ills that can befall the intestines and very dramatic pictures of what emerges from the bowel after colonic irrigation. A revelation to anyone with a hint of trouble in that department. We couldn't recommend this book highly enough. |

This book by Dr. Jensen is indeed a magnum opus. If one reads this book and carries out the tissue cleanse program described in Chapter 5, they will have the most powerful experience of their lives. I still cannot comprehend why colon irrigation is not practiced in every hospital and clinic!
I am a 51 yr old male, and am on the last day of the 7-day cleanse described in chapter 5. I can say with absolute certainty that by doing this cleanse I have saved myself from a lot of health problems that were headed my way. I plan to follow the weeklong tissue cleanse with the 7 week long tissue build and then cycle through the cleanse and rebuild. Its going to save me from medical bills, insurance, disability, and will keep me happy!
On this seventh day of the program with 12 colon irrigations completed I simply feel wonderful -- light, pain free, all my joints have never felt so open. I had suffered from acute back pain accompanied with sciatica for almost two decades. Sometimes it was so bad that I could not get out of bed and stand up, or I found it impossible to walk. However, that pain is completely gone! No medical treatment, no surgery! I used to have some pain in my knees, that too is gone. I used to be bloated -- fluid retention, that too has subsided.
In my view this book could probably repalce the entire medical establishment -- doctors, nurses, pharmaceutical companies etc. I think I have stumbled upon the fountain of youth!
For anyone to pass a judgment on the book, I think it would only be fair to say that they must first try the tissue cleanse program in chapter 5. No doubt the program is involved but the rewards are far beyond any medication or surgery could produce. It will lead to perfect health! I simply cannot understand how something so simple, like cleaning out one's colon can result in such comprehensive benefits and so fast! Its indeed magical!
Next I am going to start changing my food intake to come in line with the raw food style so that I ingest enough enzymes and nutrients. I plan on visiting one of the schools run along the lines of Ann Wigmore's dietary teachings -- which included sprouting, wheatgrass juices, raw living foods, rejuvelac etc
I had been suffering for years, with pain, insomnia, sciatica, inability to concentrate, difficulty breathing, difficulty driving, short temper etc and the lab tests returned negative everytime. So as far as the physicians were concerned, I did not have any medical problem. They could not have been more wrong. They simply have not been trained in toxicity and the necessity for detoxification of the body by cleaning out the colon.
I've already bought 5 copies for distribution and will be buying dozens more for distribution through out my lifetime. Its a gold mine!
Like I wrote before, one has TO DO the program to realize the power of the method. There is no point in passing judgment on the program without actually DOING IT! It works as surely as the flow of the seasons.

| This is a good book if you want to take on a major undertaking. His information on the bowel and why it is important to keep it running smoothly is good. I like his emphasis on whole foods. However I thought his colon cleanse methods were a little too extreme, an enema everyday for an extended cleanse period is too extreme. I think you would do just as well to research herbs and eat a plant based diet. |

This book is worth buying, (or perhaps not worth buying) based on the series of pictures taken by Dr. Jensen in the back of the book. Warning, these pictures are the most disgusting things you've seen. It is ropes of stuff that have been living in people's bodies causing them to get sick.
Dr. Jensen's book has inspired many people to do cleanses. Although the high colon cleanses he describes are intense, and maybe not the best for people who are very sick, the idea of cleansing the intestines through a natural fast has helped many people get healthier. If you want to try an effective bowel cleansing program, that you can set up at home to rapidly remove some caked on intestinal plaque, this book is for you.
