i'm in my twenties and growing up i would be on my playstation playing the fainal fantasies. Besides from 7 this is one of my favorites. My brother had a birthday coming up and said he was missing this final fantasy from his collection. So inside my head,"THIS CAN NOT BE!!", so I purchased it for him. He's two years younger then me and he enjoys it very much too. So besides the old school nintendo, playstation was where it was at in the 90's. If your passionate about classic gameplay and a good story RPG. Then this is the game for you. ENJOY!

Really fun game with a well thought out storyline and the characters have a lot of interactions with each other. Not too long of a game (even though there are 4 disks), but there are a lot of cutscenes on disks 2 and 3. Recommend for any RPG fan.

I love this game. It's one of the best Final Fantasies, and I've played just about all of them (IV-X; I just got XII). The game has this awesome medieval yet light-hearted feel to it that makes it so epic, yet fun and cartoony. The characters are all imaginative and memorable, and create the base of an intricate, artistic, and compelling story. The battle and EXP systems are great too, and with a bunch of side quests, treasures, and weapons to find, it will keep you busy for up to 50 or more hours.

While FF VII is clearly the greatest in my mind, I would say that FF IX is right up there with FF VI and FF Tactics for my top favorite Final Fantasy games.

I think this is probably the 5th time I have purchased this game. Every time I move I seem to loose this game and about 1/2 my books so I have to buy it again. Even though this game is from the original Playstation lineup it is still just as much fun to play today as it was when it first came out. The graphics are pretty bad but they were fantastic for the time. The characters are pretty cartoony, which is one of the things I like the most about it. I can play this game over and over again. The side games and the way you go about learning new abilities and spells make it several games in one. This really is one of my favorite games and certainly my favorite Final Fantasy games of all time. Took 1 star off the over all score for graphics. It looks really funny to play it on the PS3 though, lol.
