| Ah, Metroid it brings back memories. This game is pretty hard, I haven't finished the game yet. The graphics are better than the original Metroid, although GameBoy Advance is just a hand held version of the Super Nintendo... It's a great challanging game based on strategy and alot of thinking. |

| let me clear up the story the discription is wrong samus when she is infected with X crashes her ship and is injected with METROID dna (from the super metroid )and her suit is removed and modified by GF. And her suit parts are sent to the BSL where they become SA-X which frees X into the statoin .Ironicly Metroids are X predators so samus is able to absorb them to gain lost abilities and energy but she gains a weakness to cold which leaves her venrable to samus-Xs ice beam so you have to avoid it until the showdown... |

Just wanting to put It out there that this game, just like every other Metroid game ever, IS good...but this game Is VERY short & NOT worth the $[...] that the current seller is selling this for.
The reason I'm giving this game such low stars is because of the length. |

| I don't play video games much, and I certainly don't review them, but I have to go out on a limb here to give Metroid Fusion some stars. I just finished the game (yeah, just...like I said, I don't play much) and it was absolutely incredible. The graphics are great and the gameplay is set up in a brilliant way to keep you entertained from start to finish. That said, I found the game nigh impossible at times, but there always is a solution to each predicament. I loved how intricate the story was, and how most of the maps ended up being puzzles. I'm going to look more into the Metroid series, because the creativity in this game was phenomenal. There's a whole host of "bad guys," tons of bosses, and weapons gallore that just get better and better. My only wish would be that I could have played around with Samus at full power a little before the credits rolled, but oh well. This game is still incredible; it is an absolute blast to play and it'll work your gray matter too. 5 stars, easily. |

"New story, classic gameplay" | 2009-02-25 |

While the Metroid series begins advancing into the realm of 3rd person shooters on Nintendo's consoles, Samus Aran returns to classic form on the Game Boy Advance. Metroid: Fusion takes the classic gameplay that made the series so popular and adds a few new twists on it. When Samus finds herself trapped among parasitic aliens and wearing a stripped down version of her power suit, it's up to you to guide her through a burned out space station using all the old tricks, from jumping and running to rolling up into a ball and hopping through vents. It's classic side-scroller action, and should feel immediately familiar to Metroid veterans.
The game itself is a little on the short side, but has a fast-moving and interesting story that paces itself well. As you regain power bit by bit as Samus, you'll be faced with a new challenge as you take on the SA-X, an alien duplicate of a fully-powered Samus. If the game has a flaw, it's that it feels a little too familiar. While the plot is new, you're still basically playing through Metroid or Super Metroid, picking up power-ups in increments and waiting to get strong enough to take on the main villain. That said, the formula works well, and is definitely worth a play through.
With a new story and classic gameplay, Metroid: Fusion scratches an itch that even the high quality of the Metroid Prime series has missed. It's a return to classic gameplay, and makes for a wonderful treat to veteran gamers. Newcomers to the series will receive a treat as well with a fun and moderately challenging side-scroller that shows off how the series became so popular. All told, Metroid Fusion is a solid game that provides just the right mix of nostalgia and new experiences. |

" A Great game but leaves a bit to be desired." | 2009-02-19 |

In 1994. Nintendo released Super Metroid for the Super nintendo Entertainment system and created a true classic. it was eight years until another metroid game was released. In 2002 Nintendo released the fourth installment in the franchise, Metroid Fusion.
story: the bounter hunter samus aran is visiting the planet SR388 when a strange thing attacks her. The scientist manage to save her by taking off peices of her suit and conclude that it is an X parasite. samus must then travel the huge space station to track down her items and face this mysterious entity.
concept: Like the previous Metroids, metroid Fusion is an actoin adventure/Platform Game. the point of the game is to collect items and defeat bosses as well as gain new abilitys to assist you on your quest.
Controls: the game controls quite well. you use the D-Pad to move samus around, You use ethear the A or B button to shoot( i have not played the game in a while so I forget), You can change the direction of your aiming by pressing R and moving the D-Pad in one of eight directions. Players should catch on easily and get the rythm down pretty quickly.
Graphics: The charecter animation is Superb, the art dircetion is remeniscent of a comic book and the visuals were just Very well done. The sections look different and the beam shots look realy cool.
Music/Sound: The sound effects are excellent, from the beam firing, to the wall jumping to the enemy shreiks, its all fantastic. the games music is good and all but it certainly pales in comparison to Super Metroids, still the sound effects are very good.
bad: First off, i can not stand Fighting the X Parasite, it is just realy cheap unless you have alot of energy tanks, aslo this game feels slightly more linear than other Metroid games do. My biggest gripe is that the game is just to darn short. The game is Great for the short time it last but it is over way to soon.
good: This game has some great bosses to fight, the weapons you get are very cool, and there it is more story oriented than other Metroid titles if you like more story oriented games. The game may be short but the quality will keep you hooked for the short time it last.
conclusion: Metroid fusin is a great game. It has alot of Quality over Quantity in it. There are many Fun crerative bosses, and you will have a blast for the short while it last. It is far from the best MEtroid game, but it is probably one of the better originall GBA action adventure? PLatformers. i would highly reccomend it to people looking for a fun portable action Platform game. |
