Very pleased with this item. We run a wedding business and use it outdoors on the beach to transmit audio from a lapel mic to a PA system, and it works flawlessly. A great product at steal of a price!

I purchased the Audio Technica Pro88W-R35 Mic to use with my Canon Vixia with HD. The sound is very good. It works much better than using the internal mic because I can get farther away from the camera...so far I have used it up to 50' away indoors and it sounds great. Very easy setup for a guy who is not a techy and very easy to operate. I recommend this mic to anyone looking to upgrade their sound over the typical internal mic of a personal camcorder. I can't really say how it compares to more professional setups...I don't have a comparison.

This is a great product if your camera will support it. The audio is very clear & I would recommend it. However, my camera has a built-in microphone & does not have a microphone port.

When I first got this I thought it was horrible, because it was amazingly fuzzy. Then I plugged my iphone playing a song into the transmitter instead of the included mic and it was crystal clear. You won't have any reception issues if the transmitter and receiver are kept in a good line of sight. But the included mic is a cheap piece of crap. Be sure to purchase a separate mic with 3.5mm jack.

I am not happy with this product. It's 'inexpensive,' (but there goes 100 dollars...) but it creates a lot of background noise when put into use. I did an interview the other night and it is very noticeable and it takes some finessing with noise removal tools and decreasing the highs in the equalizer to remove.

The microphone is really `hot' which is something you can fix in post.

The mic output on the receiver went out about 6 months ago and I now have to go through the phone out to connect it to the camcorder. It's workable.

The system is very `line of sight' which is most of what I do - walk around the corner and you're going to get some static.

Overall, it is a good system for the money and what's not to like?
