"I like my OmniMount FP-CL" | 2009-02-07 |

I ordered this when I ordered a 32" flatscreen. I had to get it into a cabinet with a door opening significantly smaller than the width of the TV. I also wanted to get maximum extension so as to turn it toward perpendicular to the stored position. This one had a long reach and seemed over-engineered for the size I was using but it also seemed the best in most other respects. I was right on all counts. It looks good, acts good, mounts easily and except for some geometry I failed to determine, works great. When in the stored position, the section of arm furthest from the tv actually goes behind the plane of the cabinet (won't happen in most situations), so when I reinstalled the back, I had to put a hinged trapdoor in to accommodate. It swings shut so when the set is fully deployed, the hole is covered. Buy one if you can afford it. The hammered silver finish was my second choice to black but looks fine.
Incidentally, since it mounts to a single stud, and since my antique wardrobe is in 3 pieces, it will only take so much weight so far out in front before tipping, I had to install 3 - 2x4's - two horizontal and one vertical to hold all the parts together and to prevent tipping. Then drill the pilot hole and screw those lags into the vertical & hang the tv - piece of cake. No chance of grands swinging on the tv and tipping the whole thing over on them. |

Mount very sturdy, and no worries about maintaining television weight. Installation may have been easier if the instructions were included.
Great mount, sturdiest I have seen. |

"Easy to use, good function." | 2008-10-27 |

| This is the second omnimount product that i have purchased. I have the larger and smaller mounts. There are a lot of reviews commenting on panel drift and that the screws provided are inadequate. I did not find this to be true. Granted both of my applications are for tv's that are at the lower end of the recommended range however, i see no sign of this problem. These mounts are affixed easily with a great functional use and good esthetics. I would only mount these directly into a stud for sense of security. |

"Beware You would Need a UAM with this one..Check the Site" | 2008-08-26 |

This is ridiculous when it states that it can hold any LCD TV. I have a Toshiba 32AV500U and if you need to mount that then you need to get an extra UAM (Universal Adaptor Mount).
Now I need to buy UAM which will cost anount 60-100 dollars...

"Safe and Secure...but" | 2008-07-13 |

I purchased this for my Sony 32 inch HDTV and this thing is great and is very sturdy and was very easy to mount (make sure that you have a quality stud finder). I used mine and just to make sure I drilled 3 small pilot holes on each side of the mounting stud...just to make sure I did not hear that big crash in the middle of the night!!!
The only reason why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is that even though the mounting kit with a ton of different screw options for the many TV's out there; the mounting kit did NOT have the size screws to properly mount my Sony TV to the mount.
Also, there was 1 review who said that you need to get a 9/32 drill bit and this is not accurate. The manual clearly states that you use a 1/4 drill bit for mounting into wall studs.
Another thing is that the mount that I received I mounted myself since the there were open slotted holes at the top of the mount which I could screw the 2 top mounting screws into my tv prior to attempting to mount it to the mount itself.
I hope this helps!!! |

| I've mounted a number of LCD screens myself and this one was definitely the easiest. It took me less than 30 minutes to mount my 32 Samsung LCD flatscreen and half of that was figuring out where to put it in the bedroom. All the hardware necessary is included for the wall and TV connections. The mount is heavy gauge steel and is extrelemely sturdy compared to many others out there. It's also a great price for a cantilever. I highly recommend this mount for your flatscreen TV. |
