I purchased this book to further my understanding of Guyton in chiropractic college (my background is chemical engineering). Though I read Guyton more than once, took maticulous notes from class and the text, I needed the Guyton Review to help fill the gaps I missed for part 1 board review.

I realized I needed this book during the physiology reviews for the chiro part 1 board exam. The questions in the Guyton Review are, in my opinion, based closely to what you would expect to see. They take you to the meat of the chapters so that you know what is important. That is a small price to pay for someone that may not have had the physiology background or needs to review.

I work with a lot of students needing help in, or remediating physiology and those retaking the boards. I have a number of copies of this book and loan them to students or use them to follow-up mini review sessions. They work quite well in this setting. For example, board re-take pass rate is 85% compared to 50% with Kaplan.
