This book sat unread on my bookshelf for years. The first time I tried to read it I just coulen't get into it. I thought I'd give it one more look before I put it in my donation box and this time I loved every word of it. Before I finished I ordered the sequel and the two flow together so seamlessly it's almost like one book. The story grabbed my heart and I'm hooked.
Combined, these books make the best fiction I've ever read in my life!
It's more than a romance. It's a history lesson, a Bible lesson, a study in human nature--and it all reads like it was written about a modern family.
Definitely worth a read! |

| This is a great book, amazing writing and ruch character. The writer does a great job of giving a detailed account of the times and the characters, you literally feel like you just took a trip. The suspense at the end of this one would make you you pick up the next series, so all I can say is make sure you have access to the full series cuz you would want to open them immediately you are done with the previous ones. |

I have read many of Francine's books, but this one topped them all. I have read this book three times in the past week, and I am still touched by it the same way. In the book, Hadassah's trials made her faith in the Lord stronger, She blessed the people around her with her caring spirit, and didn't judge others. She knew her own short comings, and prayed to God for strength. She is a perfect model of how we as Christians should act.
I can't wait to read the next book on my kindle. This kind of book is a must read.
WARNING this book leaves you emotionly exausted, and can be somewhat depressing at times. But, it shown that God never leaves us, and that He loves us with all of his heart. |

| There are very, very few books that I would say are life changing, especially since I read about 2-4 books a week (for 40 years) this one, without a doubt IS!! Everyone, christian or not, needs to read Rivers Voice in the Wind series (Redeeming Love is amazing also). They are thick, and not always easy to read, but truly worth it. A real testament to anyone who wants to read a passionate love story totally without explicit sex. Truly, it works, and you realize REAL passion never has to do with sex anyway. I also heard Rivers' books are so historically accurate, they are used in seminary education. A definate must read for everyone who loves romance, first century roman history, and christian inspiration. |
