| I purchased this book because it was referred to several times in Neale Donald Walsch's newest book "When Everything Changes: Change Everything," which I have read twice. Even though I'm only about 40 pages into the book, I feel very comfortable with the information that Neale (God) shares. I highly recommend it to "anyone." |

| Neale is on target! Finally! Everything I ever felt about GOD has been revealed In this "new" way! All my life I've been told I was going to HELL because I just couldn't be good enough. I was just "too human" I guess. Why would a "LOVING GOD" make me the way I am, and then condemn me for being that way??? Yes ,I know we have free will and choice, but WHY was I choosing ,or being the ways that were so supposedly wrong?? I couldn't help it. Sometimes I felt or acted a way that wasn't "appropriate" According to "OUR WESTERN BIBLE". This caused me to research other, more ancient religions. The TRUTHS began to seep out according to my soul. Now I live and act according to MY OWN TRUTHS as I FEEL them being revealed by GOD. Why can't GOD speak to any of us as HE did in times of old? Did He not tell us that He is no respecter of persons?? People, HE is there. You have but to listen. Listen to the still, quiet voice that resides within your soul. He has no so called "chosen" people. WE are THE CHOSEN PEOPLE!! I have never been happier or more at PEACE, and if you think that is "Demonic" then you need to re-evaluate what your God is to you. GOD IS LOVE. LOVE FEELS GOOD. Love feels Giving. Love feels Compassionate. Love feels Forgiving. Love feels FREE, Love feels that all is right with the world, even in it's current condition and WE can make it better if we so choose. As a group or an individual. I now choose to live my life according to the God I feel within me. Folks, He really is as close as Neale speaks. PLEASE, just LISTEN. Say what you want, but you can not deny THE TRUTH THAT YOU FEEL IN YOUR OWN HEART AND SOUL. BLESSED BE. :) :) :) :) :) :) ;). MY PEACE I LEAVE UNTO YOU.;). |

I was not impressed with the book. Yes, it is intriguing and well-written. But the "wisdom" is what I would expect an articulate, well-versed liberal arts professor to say. So much of it is what we want to hear, what we want to believe. I felt like Neale created a God that placates people, tells them what they want to hear, tells of the wisdom of this age. I have read and studied several religious texts, from the Bible, the Koran, the Torah, etc. In my studies I came to know that the Bible holds the truth of God - but this is a realization for all of us to have individually with God. I actually picked up CwG before I came to believe in the Bible - and I put it down after I read it thinking that the book was filled with man's wisdom. I had a course in college that taught the same thing. I was seeking God's true wisdom and studied Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, etc.
This book is nothing new, and tells people what they want to hear - not the truth of things. I don't think God was the one moving Neale's pen, I believe it was Neale's own thoughts and wisdom moving his pen.
So, you can choose to listen to God's truth or Neale's truth. But this book is clearly full of Neale's truth. The book takes basic modern-day mysticism tenets and attributes them to God moving Neale's pen so Neale can enlighten the world. |

My daughter's multiple readings of the "Conversations with God" series was and is a major component and ally in what will definitely be her life-long struggle to "not pick up" drugs or alcohol. Who knows what may happen next but she has been sober for four years, and the series has visibly more than once rescued and maintained her sobriety. There will always be a copy for her in my house. She often gives hers to addicts she feels are trying to stop their habits.
I have a little problem with some of the author's statements and wonder if sometimes he confused his own thoughts with statements from his conversations. For what the series has done for my daughter, however, this "minor disagreement" does not matter at all. |

| A marvelous book which explains clearly a view of the world which is quite remarkable. Besides the Bhagavad-Gita which was a conversation with God which took place 5000 years ago, I regard this conversation which is taking place now most important for people to overhear and learn from. This book deals with many issues including sex. There is a book entitled "Open to Bliss Sage Hope's 1st Gift to Humanity The Definitive & Complete Solution Manual to Sexual Attraction & Addiction" which I also find quite marvelous in the matter of the solution to sexual attraction and addiction. CWG book 1 is profound in how the universe works, and how it came to be. it explains these two issues very clearly. Also it discusses how God communictes with man. One must be open-minded to be able to digest some parts of the book which may present an obstacle in understanding given if the people are too rigid in their perspective and canot grow into observing realities or truths in other perspectives. Truly magnificent work. I told my mother , when she was alive, if I get amnesia, please take these two books (Bhagavad-Gita and CWG book1 ) and tell me to read them. the information in these two books are so profound and a guide to life that I was afraid I might lose them, if for some unknown circumstance I get into a car accident or something. anyhow by to all. Those who give this book low marks is because they have limited and or ridgid thinking. many of these people are used to only the system of thinking that was presented to them as truth. anything that strays from that framework is seen by them as false. their vision or understanding is not based in truth but in dogma. faith has been taught to them by repetition and without proper 100% honest thinking. 100% honest thinking is a godly virtue. without being 100% honest with oneself one is lying to oneself. a person can limit their understanding and or view of the world to whatever they decide to limit it to. Sadly many preachers are pushing masses of people away from a true loving God to a self dellusional world of make-believe. make-believe because the many so-called christians, or so-called folllowers of any religion who follow without being honest with themselves are simply lying to themselves, all the time believing that they are following truth based on faith. However faith mentioned in the bible was never about complete blind faith based on no logic. faith was always based on SOUND TRUTH. in other words God gave signs to them. there was numerous signs, even the nature of existence. nature itself is a sign of an intelligent higher being. According to the Bible God has had numerous interactions with the prophets of old. The interactions with these prophets of old did not start with faith, but started with honest education. faith was later thought of as important or even valid only because earlier God had already established a repore with whomever God interacted with. |

actually, this isn't a book about a man talking to god. it is a book about a man becoming a god. something that we all should consider to do by the way. and we can only be gods in the name of one thing: love. and that's what this book is all about. love.
and if you understand, accept and remember, you know that all you really need...is love. |
