I have purchased from Amazon for many years and never had a problem until recently. I purchased a computer and 28 days later (less than the 30) it dropped in price by $300. I called and talked to Christina and she stated that I would get the refund, even kept me on hold while she got the approval. A week later I still did not have the refund on my cc so I called back this time talking to Archival who confirmed that the refund was being processed and it would show up on my cc within 2 to 3 business days. A week later still no refund so I called again and asked to talk to a supervisor or manager. I was told the supervisor was busy but would call me back within two hours, I waited four then called again. This time I talked to Sanjus and she asked if she could try to help me out without escalating the issue. I figured it couldn't hurt. Whatever she did that the other two people didn't do got me the refund as I received an email stating I was getting the refund the same day and it posted on my cc the next day. While I like Amazon and will use them again I was a bit frustrated by this experience.

I have shopped on Amazon numerous times, most recently picked up some gifts and had them shipped via 2-day shipping and had them sent gift wrapped to a family member. It arrived the exact day I wanted, right on time. Probably made about 8-10 orders over the years and every time Amazon has been very reliable.

First let me say that I have ordered many different times from Amazon. I would estimate that I've ordered 100 items from them over the past few years. Everytime, the product has come in a decent box, sufficient packaging, and allowed for returns without a problem. Books, electronics, heavy stuff, light stuff, when I needed it in 2 days, etc, etc, I think I've tried all the typical shopping experiences with Amazon. Now HERE is a LITTLE SECRET about the BAD REVIEWS! Third Party sellers on Amazon contact customers after they placed an order and say "leave us feedback" so you get a mix of good/bad reviews. But Amazon themselves do not get reviewed. Therefore the only reviews are GoSale users. Nothing wrong with that but generally the only people who go out of their way to bash Amazon are people who hate them. Just remember that a happy customer is a quite customer unless they are asked to write a review. Probably the best store you can purchase from online.. and I've tried A LOT of them!

I have been ordering from Amazon for years, and have never had a problem. I check prices everywhere and always wind up getting it from Amazon if they have what I want. Including Microwave, DVD recorder, Dyson floor sweeper, many books and CD's. I fail to see why anyone would ever give them one star. They must be nuts!!

My wife got me a GPS for my birthday , but it was not the correct one. I had no problems returning it to amazon , got the refund and am on my way back to amazon to order the correct one now.

I ordered a GPS unit from Amazon. They showed it in stock with a 3-5 day delivery. Two days later I received an email that they were back ordered and I'd have to wait 3-5 weeks to have it even ship! I immediately checked their website and it showed "Only 1 left in stock--order soon (more on the way)." Oh really? I called Amazon and the customer service lady told me that the website wasn't always updated right away. I cancelled my order and refreshed the page, and you guessed it! Now it said "Only 2 left in stock--order soon (more on the way). " Outright liars. They show stock to tease you to buy then drop a big fat delay on you.I cannot disreccommend them any more highly than to say that they participate in false advertising to entice you to buy now. I gave them 1 star only because there was nothing lower....

I have ordered items from Amazon many times over the past few years and have never, ever had a problem with them. Items have always been received promptly and in perfect condition. I most recently ordered the Keurig Special Edition B60 single serve beverage maker. Not only was the price unbelievably low, but it arrived within 3 days with free shipping. I will always check Amazon first before ordering from anywhere else.

Makes you think that 90 percent of those who bother to write in only do so because they think they got gypped or mistreated.

I was very worried after I read all the negative reviews concerning the bad customer service that some customers have received from amazon. I ordered a philips digital video frame just a few days ago and I already received it!!! The process was simple and the customer service explendid!! The price was also very good! It gave me several options. one of them was amazon.com BUT GOSALE gave me a discount code that I dont think I would have found on Amazon.com without the help of GOSALE.
