I bought this nuvi 265wt refurbished after finding the deal here on GoSale. I ordered from Amazon and it arrived in 2 days. Honestly, I cannot tell the difference between the refurbished product and the brand new product... aside from $40. The refurbished model comes in a compact Garmin box, has all the manuals, the suction mount, the cigarette adapter, USB cable... everything you need. The 265wt came preloaded with US/Canada maps (City Navigator). I have another Garmin (for my bicycle) and was also able to load in City Navigator NT 2008 for all of Europe as well. I have used it on a week long road trip to some pretty remote areas and it worked like a charm. The screen is nice and big (4.3" widescreen is so much better than 3.5" standard screens), the 3D style view is great, the traffic alerts are nice, the on screen speed limit display only worked on major roads (in Spain and France at least, probably better data for the US) but I like that feature too. I didn't need the bluetooth necessarily, but the refurbished price was less than the 255wt so why not :)
Long and short, it is a great GPS. I bought it mostly because I thought it had features that I feel keep me safe on the road (spoken directions so I don't have to look at the screen, traffic data, speed limit data, widescreen for easy viewing). The fact that it is refurbished is not even an issue... no different from the same model that cost $40 more. The first week I had it, we used the "Avoid Tolls" routing feature and saved over $440 in tolls! France and Spain are pretty pricey toll-wise I guess... the bonus was instead of gross highways we enjoyed some majestic views and winding roads in the Pyrenees... a trip we will never forget. Considering it already paid for itself and then some in the first week, it's a fantastic deal!
