| Ascension is an intriguing combination of Sci-Fi and politics,with a tiny bit of fantasy tossed in for seasoning. Zendista McKenna is the commoner, the hero, a marshall who rises in power in the Migichinan government. And the Migichinan themselves are fascinating, the nobles and military a unique version of machine and flesh unlike any "cyborg" I have come across. It is an appealing story that kept me reading all the way through to the end. I highly recommend the book for those who like a solid plot with their action. I am looking forward to the next book in the Alliance Chronicles. | ||
