| I have been a user of Disk Warrior for well over ten years. It has been a valuable tool in my utilities folder. Why then am I giving it one star. I bought my latest version shortly before I moved to an Intel MacBook Pro. I quickly found out the version I had bought did not work with an Intel machine. I waited... and waited... and waited for an Intel version. Finally one comes out and they want another $49.95 to upgrade. OK.... I don't like this but I will probably upgrade. Yesterday one of my hard drives start acting really strange. I try Disk Utility on it and get nothing except an error message. Ok. Time to fork over the upgrade cost in spite of getting almost no use off of my last purchase. I check. I can't download an updater, I can only order a CD. I get to the "Allow three to four weeks for delivery." I call the company and they offer no other alternative.That's it. I quit. I check the net and find a good review for Drive Genius. I buy it and have it in on my computer in less than five minutes. Run it. It works great and fixes my problem. Of course I am out even more money since to upgrade Disk Warrior would have been half the price. But at least the problem is fixed. I would seriously consider whether you wish to invest in a company that sadly has fallen so low. It is a Texas company and I am a Texan so it is with a heavy heart that I tell you go elsewhere. | ||

| Why in the world did this pianist not get the acclaim he deserved in his lifetime. His almost complete lack of touring in the US certainly accounted for some of it but for a man who released many albums and CDs his lack of presence within the jazz community is puzzling. This was the first Montoliu recording I ever heard. When it came out in 1975 it was great and it remains one of my favorite jazz recordings. Montoliu plays with great passion, style and technique. Pedersen shows why he was perhaps the best European bassist of all time. Heath is a fabulous drummer with incredible groove and delicacy. Buy this CD before it disappears and you have to find it used on eBay. | ||

| I wish I had read the reviews of the first volume of this series because if I had I might have not wasted both the money, and time I spent on this book. It is almost impossible for me to believe these are even the second best stories that Lonely Planet could find among all the writers they have hired over the years. This book actually makes it less likely I will use their guidebooks from now on. Why should I use a company that seems to hire people who are either drunk much of the time, naive beyond belief, or both. The travails of a man who got so drunk he missed his charter flight home from the Canary Islands. Another story of having a dental plate worked on during a holiday. Is this really the best stories they can find? While there are several moderately good stories here, spend your money more wisely on some great travel books by Dervla Murphy, Pico Iyer or, if you really want to read about someone pushing the envelope, try Danziger's Travels. | ||
