| I am an audio enthusiast since the early 1970`s so properly hooking up the receiver was no problem. People who complain don`t read the manual. My only real complaint is the build quality.My Sony from 2000 had heavier chassis and solid aluminum face plate and knobs and was made in Japan where their high-end cars are still made...not farmed out to a third-world country:( For about the same price however(compared to year 2000) , you now get microphone auto-calibration and more decoding abilities. I must add also that this unit comes with a 24 month warranty whereas many more expensive receivers only give you 12 months. BTW...I got mine open-box display unit for $289 at Circus City.I pointed out to the salesman that not many receivers of this quality are sold any more as this new generation mostly listens to poor quality compressed music files on iPod-type devices.HDD`s are so cheap now , if I rip any music at all , I do it in a lossless format. Once you hear DVD Audio or even CD`s on this unit you will probably NOT want to keep listening to mp3`s.DTS and Dolby movie soundtracks sound awesome."Twister" in DTS is awesome and the Sony didn`t clip. | ||

| Got this on Amazon for about $13 shipped and didn`t install it for several weeks as my other cartridge wasn`t empty yet.It came in a sealed box but when I installed it...it had NO INK in it and felt "light". Even the toolbox on my HP showed the cartridge to be empty !Buyer beware. | ||
