I am a fan of LED light. I love my tiny Petzl Zipka head lamp. The Zipka's 3 little AAA batteries give decent (not great) brightness for 6 months! (I use mine ~2-3 hrs per week). So I had high hopes for this product, with its newer generation LED bulb and larger size. However, I find that an arm-numbing 3 minutes of vigorous shaking gives about 3 minutes of light! I literally timed it and found that with a 90 second shake (which they recommend) that it starts out brighter than my Zipka. But by 90 seconds of lighting, it is significantly dimmer. By 3.5 minutes there is not enough light to read by. Save your $25.

100 pieces is a little more involved but by no means to hard for an enterprising 2-3 year old. I would think fun for older kids too. My son has enjoyed doing this puzzle about 40 times.

I learned about it on reading many reviews at boardgamegeek.com, which is the best resource for reliable reviews of board games for kids as well as adults. Sure enough, my 2.5 year old son loves this game! I suggest hamming it up w/ much fear/consternation at the appearance of a monster. This adds to the mystery & excitement upon drawing each piece from the bag.

My 2 year old son is nuts about this book! He is learning counting in English & Spanish, the value of maps, a spirit for adventure, and lots of words. Some of the stories in this book seem rather abridged, but overall, given how much my kid loves it, I have to give it 5 stars.

This light never dies due to its LED technology. It is not extremely bright but definitely bright enough for illuminating your path at night. It is great for power outages or camping. I feel much safer walking or jogging at night in my neighborhood. Light-weight, very good attachment mechanism. This product is a major improvement compared to the standard head lamp, to the point that everybody should have one. It is a perfect gift in that it is (1) reasonable price, (2) usable by anybody, (3) sufficiently different that people are unlikely to already have it, (4) truly useful/safety feature as opposed to worthless junk that is most gifts.

Thick as a Brick has a magical, melodic, moving sound like nothing else ever. When I first discovered this album 20 years ago, I was convinced that this was a groundbreaking work which would set the style for many albums to come. It never happened. I have never heard anything like this album since (save for some similar stuff from Tull, but even that never quite sounds like Thich as a Brick again). Thsi wonderful work essentially was a brief experimental tangent in the history of rock, and it is a shame.
