| So I recently purchased this model before a two week trip to Europe and I am so glad I did! The unit it very light, very portable, and when used properly it will last for a few hours of use I'll comment on specific features: - Vista Operating Sytem: love it and the Q1P handles it just fine (no aero mode mind you). The OS goes in and comes out of Hibernation relatively quickly and the Tablet/Mobile features of Vista make it easy to manage input and power settings - Performance: before my trip i loaded up Visual Studio 2005 and AQL Server 2005 Express and the Q1 handles both, and at the same time, very well. One huge strike against the unit, and this is more a problem with the media probably, is the absolutely horrible "write" speed to a CF card that I have inserted into the top of the unit. It's practically unusable a second Hard Drive as writing to it is an absolute chore. - Battery Life (using the included standard battery): in "Power Save" mode I can squeak out ~2.5 hours of use depending on what I am doing. The battery was quick to charge when sitting in "hibernate" and plugged in, i'd say it was fully charged in just a few hours. Also kind of neat was a built in meter right on the battery itself which is accessed by setting up the Q1's stand and then you could push a little button on the battery and it will show you power level on it's LEDs - "AVS" Program: Reading about this, it is supposed to be a mini OS that can play movies and music and show pictures without having to go into the Main OS, but I could never get it to not fire up Vista before running.... so basically it's useless for lack of a better description - Wireless/Internet: Bluetooth, Wireless a/b/g, and a direct Ethernet connection all work very well, I had no problems connecting to anything on my travels - Data Entry: Not really a big fan of the "Orgami" keyboard program, but the Tablet keyboard entry with the included stylus works well, but for serious typing a bluetooth/USB keyboard and/or mouse is recommended. I has purchased a ThinkOutside Stowaway blueooth keyboard and it hooks right up with no issues - "Coolness" factor: Didn't buy it for this by any means, but while on my trip I had a ton of people ask me about it and I was all too happy to show them what it was and what it did... it really is a full blown computer, just smaller :-) - Outputs: Sound from the built in speakers is adequate, the unit also has a VGA output for an external monitor, which outputs to my 19" widescreen with no issues, also has two USB 2.0 ports and a the before mentioned (but i'm saying useless) CF slot | ||

| I hope I have used this enough so far to warrant a review, but here I go anyways Picked up my SZ-120 on thursday night and am just loving it...... I have the same problems as others who have commented so far, from: - Loose battery - Dissapointing battery life (i keep reading that its XP and USB related though, hopefully MS will release a fix) - I also *hate* the fact you cannot easily turn off the touchpad.. i use my notebook-sized mouse and hate running my palm across the touchpad.... - "100 gig" HD actually showing 89 gigs of space to use (there is a hidden partition, but windows says its only 6 gigs, where's the other 5?) Otherwise the Dual-Core CPU's book along and it runs all my programming stuff just fine :-) Definitely recommend this laptop to anyone looking for small and fast | ||

| I recently pulled out my all Alpine setup consisting of the DVA-7996, XM Tuner, and iPod adapter to make the jump into the world of in-car navigation, and i'm (mostly) glad i did. I went all out and purchased this unit with both the XM Radio/NavTraffic unit plus the Pioneer iPod adapter, here's what i think of each of the three pieces 1) The D1 head unit - Great display, super easy to view in day, at night, with or without glare, touchscreen works flawlessly - Handles mp3 coded cds great, you can view/select all the folders in a scrollable list, and also can view/select all the tracks in a nice scrollable list as well, sure beats the standard next, next, next, next of other radios - Has video input (won't show on screen unless parked though) and rear monitor output (not locked down by parking brake) plus a rear camera input - "Double DIN" mounting cage, which i have no idea what that cage will acutally fit, as i had to get pretty custom to secure the radio in what-i-thought-was-double-din acura that i own 2) XM Radio/Nav Traffic unit (GEXP10XMT) - Provides the unit with "real time" information about construction, accidents, and slowdowns on the roads and overlays the information ontop of the navigation map - Wish it proactively told you when you enter a destination of problems on the way there, but i am finding that i have to manually review my route to look for accidents beforehand - Able to get real time stock quotes and sports scores - The D1 provides the same great scrollable-list navigating through the XM channel selection, it even shows the various icons/logos for each channel, even thought that feature slows down the unit while trying to scroll through the listing (as it first has to download all the icons before you can scroll more) 3) iPod adapter (CD-IB100) - Here's where my "mostly glad" comes in, as i am very happy with my purchase EXCEPT for the interface between the D1 and this iPod adapter, because its horrible. Your iPod shows up as an "external device" and its difficult to say the least to navigate around, the D1 is also limited to one type (artist, genre, album, playlist, title) and in that one type, shows only 8 characters (so VERY not good) - Basically if your primary source of music is your iPod, then Pioneer is not the brand for you unless: --- You purchase the 5700 DVD flip out face head unit --- You enjoy frustrating and confusing and severely lacking controls... Alpine's iPod adapter/interface/controls run circles around Pioneer idea of how communication and control of an iPod should be So as long as you are looking for an "all in one" navigation unit that is easy to control, and not fully depending on your iPod as a source of music, i'd hightly recommend the D1 | ||

| Angry Bill saying with 45 days left in the season and one back in the Wild Card race that the Sox are "all done, thats it"... give us a break!!! Other than me thinking "damn, not more Angry Bill", this was an excellent addition to my DVD collection and was very enjoyable (and hearbreaking yet again to see Boone's homer). A must for any Sox fan | ||

| Much like the same thing in the above review "Not 'Monster', but does the job"... I got duped into paying for the two Monster Cable pieces required, only to come home and for the life of me, not be able to get my Yamaha receiver to pick up the Dolby Digital sound.... This piece (plus the Toslink cable) fired up the 5.1 right away and the sound difference is absolutely stunning!!! Halo, already being the best game i have ever played, is all that much better now!!! Now if i could just find the DVD Remote to try out that part of it :-) | ||

| Look at the list at http://amazon.imdb.com/Soundtracks/ASIN=B00003CXTM?0132245 , all kinds of great tunes missing and we have the sucky Leanne songs, whoop-dee-do... the song that really is missing bad is whatever song is from the before mentioned list that they jam during the race through the streets of chicago scene right after the marilyn monroe-like cut i blindly bought this soundtrack expecting that song on here, only to be disappointed | ||
