| I was so glad that they released the First Four in Stereo. I just remembered being disappointed in 1987 when they were in mono. I tried to give them a chance. It just didn't get it. During the time, Mobile Fidility Sound Lab (MFSL) released in 1978 The Beatles British Cataloge The Master Recordings. People who have this, played them one time and burned them to a CD-R and captured the greatest stereo sound I ever heard. The review is pretty much the same review a gave for WTB 2009 Remastered.
I compared PPM MFSL CD-R to the PPM 2009 Remastered. On the CD-R, the seperation was a little better. On the musical instrument channel (left) you can just bareley hear the vocals with a slight echo in it. Going to the 2009, the echo is a little bit louder (not much), but the base is turned up a little bit more, in my opinion, it made the songs a little stronger, and on some the songs, I noticed they were about half a second longer (sorry to be picky). Also, I'm glad they used the mono versions of Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You, where the MFSL CD-R used the 'electronic rechanneld' version. It sounds like it is coming out of a small radio. I've been a Beatle fan since 1975. My ears have been customed to these song and I just pick up on these songs. I'll Never Get Tired Of Them. Five Stars For Please Please Me.

| When EMI and the Beatles decided to release their wonderful music to CD back in 1987, I was a happy camper. Then when the first four British release were in Mono, I was sad. It was kinda ironic. MEET THE BEATLES had "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and "This Boy" were 'electronic rechannel' stereo, and the rest of the album was in true stereo. If the die-hard Beatle fans wanted to create there version of MEET THE BEATLES from CD's, "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and "This Boy" were in true stereo, and the rest of the songs were in mono. That's what I call BACKWORDS!
As time went by, I was hearing about Mobile Fidility Sound Labs (MFSL). People who had the Beatles MFSL (released in 1978), burned them to their CD-R's, and capturing the Best Stereo Sound of The Beatles I have ever heard in my life. I compared the WTB 2009 Remasterd and the WTB MFSL CD-R and it is Very Close. The channel seperation was a little better on the MFSL CD-R, while the 2009 Remaster has a few of the songs lasting a 'half a second' to a second longer. Very Tight. Anyway, after 22 years of waiting of the official release of their cataloge is long over due. I'm extreamely happy that EMI brought the First Four in Stereo to light. I don't have PLEASE PLEASE ME, A HARD DAYS NIGHT & BEATLES FOR SALE yet, but I will soon and I will review them as well. 5 Stars for WITH THE BEATLES 2009 Remastered.

| When I bought the VHS version about 6-7 years ago. I liked it a lot. The view was 4:3, but that was fine. This DVD Ultimate Collection is GREAT. The Wide Screen is far better than the standard Version. The 5th disc with the bonus material was a bit of a let-down, because I thought it would have candid interviews with Tom Laughlin & Delores Taylor about how the Billy Jack legend began. Instead they had some person in the background talk about Tom & Delores while they were showing some still photos and some scenes from the movie(s). Great Commentary from the two stars while the movies are being played. I'm just asking for too much I guess. Anyway, If you buy this, it is great for Billy Jack fans. Don't expect too much bonus from the bonus disc. | ||
