Skagen Men's Chronograph Watch w/ White Dial and Brown Leather StrapSkagen Men's Chronograph Watch w/ White Dial and Brown Leather Strap

I love Skagen watches. This watch is no exception. Good construction, great quality of materials, and really nice leather in the band. It looks great and has a large face (for those of us over 40). The one gripe I have is that the design of the leather band's connection to the watch case does not allow the watch band to lay flat on my wrist. Maybe I have a larger, flatter wrist but this raises the watch off of my skin to the point that this watch fits better when it is sitting on the inside of my wrist - around the curve.

This is NOT a fatal flaw, just an annoyance. Otherwise it is a great watch.

I am not an audiophile. I am a 50 year old guy who likes to casually listen to music (all types).

I do a considerable amount of air travel. Because of the noise on the plane, I first tried active noise cancelling headphones (Sharper Image and Acoustic Research). Although I found them to work, their performance depended on a good seal on/around the ear, the active NC affected what the music sounded like (it made it sound flat), and my MP3 (Sansa Click) volume needed to be turned up high (2/3 - 3/4 of full volume) to hear the music. Then I found out about ear canal phones.

I read the reviews for all ear canal phones and decided I would try to spend the same as the headphone price range. My first set were the UE Super.fi 3 Studio. The silicone buds didn't do it for me. I couldn't get a good seal comfortably. I found the foam ear buds to be the most effective at blocking sound and the most comfortable over the course of a flight (3-4hours). The sound from these phones was fine but not exciting.

I decided to take a step up (like I did from the Sharper Image headphones to the AR phones) and try the Super.fi 5 Pro. Even to my amateur ear, the sound is much richer and more satisfying. The foam buds continued to do a great job at blocking the outside sound and were very comfortable. The volume setting on my MP3 is very low (1/3 of full volume) and the music is extremely listenable. In order to hear anything happening outside (e.g., pilot announcements, flight attendants, etc) I have to pause the music and listen closely.

Although I did not try the other ear canal phones in this price range, I would buy these again.
