| This book was really a fantastic book. It takes many twists and turns and very surprising ending. Joanne is a weather Warden, she is just wanting to do her job, when her supervisor Bad Bob invites her to his house. Bad Bob tries to take her power and transfer a demon mark to her. Joannne fights back and all hell breaks loose. Joanne is on the run from the other Wardens and meets up with some fun charactors on the way. She is looking for Lewis a powerful Warden on the run too. The final outcome is surprising and amazing. Never expected it to be this good. GOT to get the next installments... | ||

| This is a absolutely mind blowing book. Jennifer Toth goes into the seldom seen world of the tunnel people. There are worlds underneath the city of New York, vast tunnels some used and some forgotten to all but the Mole People. Sometimes frightening, sometimes sad and always on the edge. She learns that relationships go a long way and that there are unspoken and spoke rules and regulations in this world. Often the people in this world are the drug addicts and the alcoholics, sometimes they are insane. She tells their stories and befriends some along the way. Death and hardscrabble are a way of life and the Mole People have their own turfs, sometimes 7 stories below the surface of the streets. Jennifer learns the hard way about unspoken rules and into the tunnels with out a escort. This is a very interesting and thought provoking book, it will leave you wondering and grateful. | ||

| The Christmas season is upon Crozet Va. and Harry Harristen and her brood are excited. They are getting a beautiful tree from the Brothers of Love convent. They arrive at the tree farm and one of the brothers is someone Harry knew in high school. The man had fallen from grace due to insider trading and became a monk to repent of his sins. When Harry, Fair and the animals come back to pick up the tree, they fine Brother Chrisopher dead at the base. Later his autopsy reveals he has a ancient coin stuck under his tounge. What does it mean and why are the monks targeted?? When another Brother ends up dead, they know something has targeted them, and Harry and brood are right in the middle of it. The animals of course lend the best part of the story. For a couple of books, Rita Mae had gotten into heavy politics and discussions that did not lend a good vibe to the theme of the books., This one for the most part, stayed away from that. I hope the furure books get back to the original theme, the animals. The first ones, paydirt and wish you were here were the best ones... Hope they take a turn for the better. | ||

| This is a hilarious book. The nuns are soooooooo funny. Sister John and Sister Hyachithe are sent to a old house that is left to the Abby. This house is huge and old and has a surprise in the attic. Then there is a old suitcase in the bottom of a well.... And about that "sugar" in the pantry.. it has a great feeling to it... The nuns encounter hippies, gangsters...posing as religious artifacts sellers... OMG this is funny. | ||

| This book was recommended to me, and i bought it and it sat on my shelf for a time. I got it down the other day and started reading and could not put it down. It was amazing. I was brought back to so many memories of the deep south and the attitudes, (that still are now today) prevailing in that time. I admire this man's courage so much. I despaired at the attitudes the white people had tword him. The look, the tone of voice, the lonliness. When he looks into the mirror for the first time, he is greeted by, himself yet a stranger. To walk in another man's shoes is indeed a gift of God, and to be able to have compassion for that experiance is great. This will be one of my fave. books along with Watership Down and several others i have read over and over again. This would be a book you could read over again and get more and more from. Amazing book. | ||

| This book was really weird. It shifted between time periods and left you kinda wondering what you missed. It was interesting just really hard to read. I am glad it was not a purchased book and one from the library. I liked the Hero/antiheros. I just wish there had been a better rounding of characters. I am going to read the next one maybe it will be a little more clear. The cover artwork is great. | ||
