Braun SE7781 Silk-Epil Xpressive Epilator Body System, RechargeableBraun SE7781 Silk-Epil Xpressive Epilator Body System, Rechargeable
Rated 4 Stars"As far as epilators, this one works well yet is still painful" 2009-08-26
I purchased this to remove hair and eventually make it thinner and thinner so one day, it would be gone. You must use this frequently (short hair) and practice exfoliation however, being a fair skinned person no amount of exfoliation relieves me of bumps. I continue to use it as directed still hoping that one day the hair will be gone. I really cannot recommend it since it is painful even though one gets used to the pain after a while. I also think there has to be a better way to remove hair. The dermatologist told me I wouldn't be a good candidate for laser hair removal since I don't have thick, dark coarse hair. Bummer. I am hoping laser hair removal will improve. Waxing left my fair skin with redness for several days. Shaving remains the least painful way to go for me.

Rated 3 Stars"+3 *s for brand & performance, -2 *s cost & consumption of ink" 2009-08-26
As far as features, this printer is a vast improvement over my older Lexmark and Canon. I love the color copying and duplex printing features. Photos come out very well. However, the price of a new printer on a great deal is not that much more expensive than the replacement ink. I haven't bothered with remanufactured or filling my own in some time since the resulting printing was disappointing. I have this Canon and another Pixma MX300. Walmart had a new Pixma MX320 (newer) for $70 while the replacement ink at Staples cost $40 for black & $27.19 for color (for MX320). I could have a newer printer including ink for the same price. The Pixma MP610 ink was $57.49 for all colored ink and my first purchase of remanufactured black ink was $14.29. These printers seem to use ink rapidly. If one doesn't mind the cost of ink or is content with remanufactured or do-it-yourself refills, this printer is highly recommended.

Ultimate Hose Nozzle - AluminumUltimate Hose Nozzle - Aluminum
Rated 3 Stars"3 stars for overall design, minus 2 stars for short life" 2009-07-24
Purchased this nozzle over a year ago. I loved it at first because one reviewer stated that you could run over it with your auto and it would not be damaged. Now, however, the inside aluminum piece just fell out. It was stored outside all year with the hose water turned on, so I am wondering if freezing water inside the unit ruined it. I am ordering a different nozzle to try out this time (one with a trigger mechanism) because I didn't like having to turn that rubber sleeve each time I wanted to turn it on. While it only lasted one year, and my own mistreatment of it may have contributed to its failure (outside freezing water), I enjoyed it more than other nozzles I have thus far tried - it really shot the water out a good distance and the pressure and flow pattern could be changed easily.

Rated 3 Stars"3 stars for durability, minus 2 stars for kinking & weight" 2009-07-24
I purchased this hose over a year ago. It began kinking last year but we use it for watering the garden at the front of the house so we were moving it constantly. One problem was that it is a heavy hose and crushed the plants we had to move it over. Before we had the curly hose that was lightweight but didn't last. This hose is still here but the kinks are most annoying. However, we left it outside all winter (although the spigot had a water supply the water was not turned on and we did drain the hose at last use). For the company to put NeverKink in the title is bogus since we are proof that this hose does kink.

Boston Legal - Season 2Boston Legal - Season 2
Rated 5 Stars"Best show ever - everyone in the family enjoys" 2009-07-02
I was so sorry this show was canceled. I enjoyed it and so did my daughters. Sure, they probably didn't enjoy the love lines between older folks but the legal cases absolutely reflect what is actually going on in our society. I learned that Texas has no state supreme court - important since TX executes more prisoners than any other state (VA is next in line). The case about the smoker being fired because she was an "at will" employee was so true. Ageism was also covered and at the end, the show itself was subject to this and added a few lines of dialogue alluding to it. Sorry statement for viewers who couldn't get past old folks frolicking and appreciate the wry humor about the sorry state of affairs in our nation and legal system.

Rated 4 Stars"4 stars for Olympus warranty, minus 1 star for durability" 2009-06-09
We purchased this camera for our son who builds water parks and takes photographs of job progress. We figured he would need a camera that was waterproof and rugged. It fit the bill, however, it was crushed by his leaning on it when it was perched on the center console in his truck. Now, our son is not a heavy man so we were perplexed that it crushed. The crush job destroyed the LCD screen. But since it had been less than 1 year, we contacted Olympus and sent the camera with receipt to them and received the repaired (and new looking) camera very quickly. We were quite pleased that Olympus honored the crush warranty for this camera. Now our son has another Olympus (that we purchased on Amazon) that is an upgrade and we have this one. He was also very pleased with the photo quality of the camera. Recommend, yet do not think this camera cannot crush with moderate pressure. Do not recommend the price as we paid much less than the price listed here ($399)today.

iTouchless Stainless Steel Hands-Free Infrared Automatic Trash Can (13 Gallon)iTouchless Stainless Steel Hands-Free Infrared Automatic Trash Can (13 Gallon)
Rated 4 Stars"4 stars for design & function as new, minus 1 star for sturdiness & small opening" 2009-05-19
This trash can is what I consider medium sized as I use a 39 gallon metal one a local store painted for my trash - 6 people = 1 black trash bag per day. But for my mother, it is perfect and a white kitchen size trash bag fits perfectly. We installed the D batteries since there was no outlet where she has her trashcan located. It worked like a charm but then again it was brand new. The only drawback that I experienced was that the opening is not as wide/large as the top and is what I consider rather small. This translates into problems when throwing away raw meat packages or leftovers since one will have to be careful not to allow the refuse to come in contact with the sides of the opening. Then again, one could wash/disinfect the top if desired, but who wants to bother with that everyday? Also, for a stainless steel product, it is made with really flimsy and thin metal, not what I would even call stainless steel - it was more like plastic with a stainless steel coating.

Paul Sebastian By Paul Sebastian For Men, Cologne (8 Ounces)Paul Sebastian By Paul Sebastian For Men, Cologne (8 Ounces)
Rated 5 Stars"5 stars for huge bottle, great price, oooo that smell!!" 2009-01-07
This is my first Paul Sebastian purchase. I don't like the lime scent that many men's colognes seem to use as their base scent. I like Jovan Musk Oil, I used to buy Colours by Julian?, and recently I bought Stetsen. I know, not very expensive colognes but what I prefer on my man. I bought this unsampled by my super smeller, but I was in for a real treat!! I love the smell of it and so does my husband. To me, this scent is all man and very sexy. I am not a 21-yr old though and it seems that my daughters prefer the lime scents like CK. Go figure. I highly recommend.

Unimax Flames Steel Bed WagonUnimax Flames Steel Bed Wagon
Rated 5 Stars"Purchased for a song, great for the garden" 2008-09-08
I bought this for a great price to haul plants, mulch, topsoil etc. The wheelbarrow requires that I lift it and with two frozen shoulders along with nagging neck and upper back pain, I needed something to tote these things to the spot. This was easy to assemble and looks sharp. The sides are rather shallow so I don't recommend it for very young children as they could fall over the side. The wheels are big and allow for an easy haul.

The TCP/IP GuideThe TCP/IP Guide
Rated 5 Stars"Best book on TCP/IP ever" 2008-05-07
I bought this book straight from the author two years ago. I has been invaluable to me but then again, I'm pursuing a masters in Information Assurance and before that undergraduate Computer and Information Science. For pros already in the soup, maybe a quick guide would be preferred but I needed to learn everything from scratch (online at that). I also have the Stevens "Bible" but this one goes into more detail and it has saved me many times. I love, love, love it!

Nutrition and Mental Illness: An Orthomolecular Approach to Balancing Body ChemistryNutrition and Mental Illness: An Orthomolecular Approach to Balancing Body Chemistry
Rated 5 Stars"Sound Case Studies Back up the Claims" 2007-11-24
Dr. Carl Pfeiffer is deceased (probably why the clinic is no more) but his research lives on. I believe a colleague took over and started a new center with a different name. Dr. Pfeiffer called the condition pyroluria, however, I believe his successors call it zinc and magnesium deficiency. A neighbor sought treatment for her daughter from the Pfeiffer Treatment Center, (when it existed) which at that time also offered temporary satellite facilities so people didn't need to travel to NJ. Her daughter improved so drastically it was amazing. Diagnosed with mental illness, as long as she stayed on the supplements, she was functional. Pfeiffer took hair samples from all the serial killers on death row and found one unifying trait - these vitamin deficiencies. I first saw Dr. Pfeiffer on the Phil Donohoe years ago. I wrote down his name and the term for the condition and then in college did a research paper on the Biochemistry of Crime, using Dr Pfeiffer's research as part of my assertion. All I can say, is don't knock it unless you've tried it. I have seen living proof that his research premise is sound.

After all, we already know that the food we eat does not actually provide the nutrients that the FDA claims they do since 40 years ago an orange offered more vitamin C than it has in it today. The beef today is more marbled with fat than 40 years ago since cattle used to be free range and so had more muscle and less fat in their tissue. And how does every living mammal (including humans) deal with toxins? They are stored in the fat cells. So if you eat beef marbled with more fat than 40 years ago, you are consuming more toxins (from the cattle) too. With digestive problems fast becoming an explosive problem in the U.S., is it any wonder that whatever is consumed may not be absorbed even if it provided the nutrients it was supposed to?

Motorola V600 PhoneMotorola V600 Phone
Rated 2 Stars"Bad design, nothing but dropped calls, never worked" 2005-03-04
We bought this phone for an expensive price last year thinking it was one of the best Cingular had to offer. Nothing but problems over and over. We tried to report it as defective phone - it wouldn't hold the voice mail set up and you had to call cingular again and again to reprogram it. Then there is the problem of the buttons on the side that change your ring from loud to silent with a beep but those buttons should be located elsewhere where they accidently won't get pressed. We have 4 Cingular phones one Motorola V600 and the rest the Motorola V400 GSM. ALL OF THE PHONES DROP CALLS LIKE CRAZY. YOU CAN BARELY EVER GET A CONVERSATION TO ENDURE TO ITS CONCLUSION WITHOUT IT DROPPING. ALSO WHEN YOU TRY TO DIAL OUT IN THE CAR, THE "CALL FAILED" HAPPENS MORE TIMES THAN IT GOES THROUGH. AS SOON AS THIS CONTRACT IS UP - WE'RE THROUGH WITH CINGULAR. BEFORE CINGULAR WE HAD SPRINT AND THEY DISCONTINUED THE 3 PHONES WE HAD AND A FRIEND WHO WORKED FOR SPRINT TOLD US THAT THE REASON THEY DISCONTINUED OUR PHONES WAS DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH DROPPED CALLS - WE ALSO HAD TONS OF DROPPED CALLS WITH SPRINT. BEFORE THAT IT WAS AT&T Wireless - with dual band analog/digital but that didn't work the way it was supposed to either so every time you were out of range - the call dropped. WAY BACK WHEN WE HAD A CELLULAR ONE BIG PHONE THAT NEVER DROPPED CALLS. WHAT'S HAPPENED? PROBABLY TOO MANY USERS NOW SO THEY ROTATE DROPPING CALLS PURPOSELY SO THAT ALL THE USERS WILL THINK THEY GET EASY ACCESS TO THE TOWERS - JUST LIKE THE ISPs DID WHEN THEIR CUSTOMER BASE BECAME TOO LARGE FOR THEIR SERVER CAPACITY.

Rated 5 Stars"Love this much better than Lexmark Z52" 2005-01-22
This replaced my Lexmark Z52 - the Lexmark ink was so expensive and the Canon is better for universal printing and has cheaper inks as well. I recommend it.

I don't put knives in the dishwasher so these knives didn't rust and were very sharp and nice to use. For the price, this is a good buy.
