I am of mixed race (black and white) and have long curly hair that used to take forever to straighten. I used to have to blow dry for hours and then straighten and use lots of different products. Ever since I came across the Chi and some awesome advice for someone online I can get beautiful straight and sleek hair in half the time and alot less effort. Here is what I do to get straight hair. 1. Shampoo hair. 2. Condition hair and comb through. 3. Do a middle part and break each side off into 3 sections and plait them whilst wet, I use a little gloss sheen before I plait. Note: I do not towel dry or blow dry my hair. I wring it as much as possible but that is it. 4. Wait around for my hair to dry naturally, if you have one of those dryers you can sit under that works as well. 5. Undo each plait separately and use the Chi Silk Infusion on each set of hair and use the Chi Straightener to straighten. Do each plait separately. 6. Then style as you want. This works really really well for my hair and allows me to alternate between curly tresses and straight locks whenever I like.

I was a history major in college and was surprised by this storyline, or more surprised by people who believed it to be true. I haven't read the book but I took the movie as entertainment and a work of fiction and if judged by those standards you will love this beautiful, cunning tale.

My friend and I were recommended this movie to watch and finally they got one right. This movie starred the ever delightful Josh Harnett and was an excellent film that had action, drama, mystery, suspense and thrills. I was sad when this movie ended because it was so good!

I'm very surprised at all the high ratings for this movie. This movie was awful, maybe I'm just not avant-garde enough to get this movie but I was not impressed. Basically this movie is about a woman who acts like a dog. Seeing her bark was annoying for the neighbors in the movie and for me. I have to admit that I didn't finish this movie, so maybe it gets better but I doubt it.

I am interested in books that discuss race and identity and so decided to give this book. Danzy Senna created a civil rights era masterpiece that makes you question the construct of race. If for all intensive purposes someone believes someone to be one race and treats them fair and likes them and then they find out that person is another race and then despises them, for what basis should we give them this change of heart? Does the color of one's skin tell you everything you need to know a person. Should a person be perceived first by that color and secondly by their nature? What if they can pass? What if they decide to pass? Are they ashamed of who they are? Or are they just hoping to live a safe life free from persecution due to their race? This book makes you think. What would you do in this situation? The Civil Rights Era was a time where race consciousness came to a head. People fought and bandied together to create equality. People of all races came together with the determination to show that all should be treated the same. It's a lesson that should be remembered today. This book is an excellent novel to use as a dialogue to yourself and those around you about how you define a person!

I don't know what book the others were reading but I couldn't even finish this book it was soo boring and dull. I tried really hard to get into this book but I just couldn't. I did just see another review saying that you may have to give it several chances so I may try this one again.

I LOVED this book and am astonished at how many bad reviews this book seems to be getting. Jemima J is one of the best chick lit books I have ever read. Jemima is fun, looking for love, overweight and a bit depressed. She is every women who needs to lose some weight to feel better about themselves, she overeats to make herself feel better and lacks confidence. This books shows us how she loses weight, gains confidence, gets love and realizes what is important in life all while making us laugh out loud. Excellent book!
	Twelfth Night (Folger Shakespeare Library)

Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare's finest plays and has a plot that is amusing and serious all at the same time. Take a woman disguised as an eunuch, a court jester who is anything but funny, a poetic king and family members looking to find each other and you have Twelfth Night. I highly recommend this novel.

I had never seen this film before I happened upon it on Netflix. I love Cary Grant and enjoyed the younger Shirley Temple films when I was younger and so gave it a view. This movie featured a Cary Grant in his hey day, as charming as handsome as ever. The story is about two sisters who live together, the eldest being a Judge and Shirley Temple's character, being an 17 year old high school student who falls in love with Mr. Nugent (Grant's character). After finding himself in the Judges court already, he has to date Shirley Temple's character until she tires of him. Quaint, fun and enjoyable. I would recommend this film!

I have always loved Pride and Prejudice and happened upon this version on Netflix, in the watch instantly online part. This was a great adaptation of the book and I positively fell in love with Mr. Darcy once again. This was made in the 80's and so is not the modern looking masterpiece that some people seek but I thought it was fabulous!

I bought this game because of all the high ratings and reviews I saw. I was very very disappointed. If you are buying this game so that you can enjoy multiplayer games, FORGET IT! You can't even see your character on the screen and you pretty much just press any buttons you want and just jump around. There is no point to this game and it is boring.
	Everybody Loves Raymond - The Complete First Season

I didn't watch Ray when it was still on Tv, I was too young and didn't really think watching old people on a show could be funny. I was ageist and regret that now because I LOVE, "Everybody Loves Raymond." The show transcends the ages and is classic comedy at its best, all the actors are perfect for their roles and their facial expressions and mannerisms are exact. I love this show and watch it everytime it is on tv in syndication and I own 2 seasons, about to buy the rest!!

This Garmin has been a lifesend for me. It helped me move from Iowa to California easily and has been great in helping me around the city of LA. However, I have some major problems with this machine. 1. It doesn't tell me if I am going to be turning left or right if the next turn is over 1 mile away and there has been many times that it has made me miss a turn due to bad traffic. 2. It sometimes calls streets by a different name than is on the street sign and so I have missed streets that way as well. 3. It doesn't take the route that would avoid bad traffic. In LA the highways are always jammed but this GPS always puts me on these highways instead of the streets. 4. Doesn't sit on the dashboard!!In CA, it is illegal to have it on your window and so I have to put it on the dashboard but it doesn't stick to it so it always falls off which is a huge headache!! Even though, I have these problems, I could not live without this GPS, it is great and well worth the money!!

I read this book when I was a teen and now that I am in my twenties it is still as funny as ever. Adrian is a poser, a ponce, a wannabe and a lover and his diary tells of his utmost thoughts for his life and his friends and family. It is absolutely hilarious.

I read Smothering, another book by this author and found it enjoyable so I bought this book. While this book isn't the best chick lit book I have ever read it is an easy and fun read. The main character has to make decisions regarding family, friendship, career and love and altogether doesn't do a bad job. It is slightly boring in parts but all together I would recommend it.

Follow the life of Nathan Mc Call in this book, see how America works through his eyes. This book was thought provoking, eye opening and sad. You feel for Nathan and what he goes through but you don't really end up liking who he is as a person. This book allows you to see what it is like growing up as a black male in America. Education, jail, work, crime, children, friendships with white people. This book is open and honest and I recommend it to anyone who wants to begin to try and understand and see what it is like growing up as a black male. It certainly opened my eyes!

I had to read this book for an Italian history class and it was excellent. The book deals with different concepts, but is primarily related to the role of religion in fascist Italy. We follow the path of Pietro Spina and his persona as a priest, and we see how those regard him act and feel. I highly recommend this book!
