| this novel just pulled me into the story and let me walk around with the characters...i LOVE the world Jasper Fforde has created! adjectives to describe the book: clever, whimsical, funny, unique, interesting, suspenseful, original, lively, fun, genius! recently picked up this book per the suggestion of a stranger i spoke with on the subway a year ago...and I'M IN LOVE! it's been years since i've found an author that was so original and creative in style and imagery! i can't put it down and can't WAIT to get the next one and the next...etc. one of the things i love about the book is that through it's deceptive simplicity, it makes you think while entertaining you! i haven't yet read the book Jane Eyer, and hadn't planned on it, but having read The Eyer Affaire, i am inspired to give it a gander, if nothing else than to see how Jasper Fforde has used it for his storyline here, (you have to read The Eyer Affaire to know what i'm talking about). thank you Jasper Fforde, you are a genius! : D | ||

| a friend gave me a copy of this audio tape when the album first came out, from the first listen i was entranced! now i'm going on 35 and not only do i still listen to it, but i know it backwards and forwards...it's original, sexy, dark without being depressing, entertaining, fun, fantastic lyrically AND musically. there's not much else out there like it, and even though "i touch myself" is a fun song, it's by far not the best on the album... do yourself a favor, get this album! | ||
