Unless you need a $40+ a month plan, Tracfone does it fine for me.
This phone came with the bonus "double minutes for life" and a rebate. I buy the 1 year plan, the minutes roll over and it all works just fine. The phone itself is quite fine. Compact, nice screen plenty of usable features but it's probably too basic and even laughable for the iPhone crowd. But I just need a phone, not a lifestyle statement.
I do the math and I am spending about $9 a month and I still don't use all the minutes I get. Thumbs up.

Although my ears may be on the "older side" they can still discern musical nuances and can still well tell the difference between headphones.
Put simply, I can not find a single thing to gripe about with these headphones. Not even a nitpick.
First, they are comfortable. Most importantly, to me, they sound absolutely "perfect".
The bass has punch without muddiness.
The treble has crystal clarity without hiss.
The midrange is tight.
What more could you want?
Two thumbs up and money well spent.

What a great MP3 player. What an annoying MP3 player.
The Zen Vision M is not a study in "Zen" but more of a study in "Yin and Yang".
> The aahhh so great: What a beautiful screen, outstanding sound quality, photo slideshows while you listen to music and the number of tweaks to the settings is almost endless. A clock, a calender, an organizer, FM radio, recorder, 0-60 in 5.6 seconds...just kidding about the last one.
> The "what were they thinking??!!": Then there is the touch pad which is enough to send me over the edge. I hold my breath with each use of it and I have the sensitivity set down. The interface software for PC and MP3 is completely lame. It organizes the music with folders on the PC but on the player it is by the music ID tags. Try to rectify this one folks. The case should have been all black, not an oreo with one side missing. And the case needs more solidity - it flexes when you squeeze it, which you will do when you are pushing the buttons next to the touch pad. I think just looking at it wrong will cause a scratch, too. The menu interface can be like a labyrinth sometimes, too. As in, "how do I get out of here?!"
Am I done nagging? Yes, I think so. Because just like that special woman with flaws, you love her anyway because of her depth of personality. Not that I love an MP3 player, of course. I make this statement only for the purposes of drawing an analogy.
Is this the iPod killer? Nope, I don't even want to go there because that device is flawed too. But the Vision M IS darn good and fun too! Live with it's flaws and partake of its pleasures. It is a study in contrasts.

These "sporty" looking headphones earn high marks for comfort and sound quality. For under $25.00 you cannot go wrong and I doubt anyone - even the snobbiest audiophile - would find a darn thing wrong with these.
In fact, I had the opportunity to do side-by-side testing between this pair and the twice-as-much Sennheiser PX100 and PMX100. My audio opinion (and I am picky) is that the sound quality difference is quite subtle and not a deal killer if 50 bucks is too much for a pair of phones. (Let's say the Phillips get a 8 out of 10 and the Senn's get a 9.5 out of 10.) Comfort rating, however gives the Phillips the nod.
My one criticism is that they should have been a dark grey or near-black instead of off-white & light grey. See? Not much criticism at all, really.

If you want to ditch the headphones for awhile, you can't go wrong with these. Sound quality is quite good and completely adequate - although if you are a 'persnickety' audiophile, don't expect miracles.
My only caveat is this: the metal loop stand can too easily fold up on you and when you pick them up to move them, be careful not to put your thumb through the speaker cone.
By the way, I use them for my iAudio X5 so they are not just for the iPods.
