Alan Jackson - DriveAlan Jackson - Drive
Rated 5 Stars"Alan Jackson at his best" 2005-01-24
This CD is truly Alan Jackson at his best. With the two best songs of his career, "Drive" and "Where were you (when the world stopped turning)", you will not be disappointed with this CD.

Every song on the CD, though, is very good. Alan Jackson sticks to the roots of country, and any country fan would appreciate this.

"Drive" is a song about his father, which Alan Jackson wrote after he died. It is about his father teaching Alan to drive, from a boat to a Ford pickup, to a Jeep. "Where were you" was written after 9/11 and is the song that made Alan famous. The CD has the studio version and the live version.

Some of the songs on this CD are really fun, like "Work in progress" and "I slipped and fell in love". Others are more serious, but they are all good and great to listen to. You will enjoy this CD immensely.

Dragonball Z - Cell Games - Earth's Last HopeDragonball Z - Cell Games - Earth's Last Hope
Rated 5 Stars"A truly excellent DVD" 2004-09-19
This DVD (which is the 6th in the Cell Games saga) starts where the previous one left off. It features 3 episodes of pretty much non-stop action which also help to progress the story as it brings us closer to the climax of the plot.

Anyway, here's what you can expect. The last DVD left us off with Goku surrendering and then letting Gohan in. In this DVD, Gohan fights Cell as Cell tries to get him to release his hidden power. Also, the Japaneese version (with english subtitles) is full of funny jokes and excellent music. The DVD has no extra features.

Anyway, this is a must buy! You should pick up right away.

Dragon Ball King Piccolo Part 2Dragon Ball King Piccolo Part 2
Rated 5 Stars"Amazing DVD detailing Goku vs. Young King Piccolo" 2004-02-16
This set starts off where the previous one left off. Piccolo wishes to be young again at the start, so this entire set will be about Goku's encounters with an even stronger King Piccolo then the last one. In these 11 episodes, Goku drinks the Mystic Water and then has a showdown with King Piccolo himself. This doesn't happen until after King Piccolo takes over the world. Overall, there is a lot of very interesting events in this DVD and the demise of King Piccolo is not to be missed.

The DVD's themselves are bilingual, so they have both the Japaneese and English versions. As for the extras, there are none. Also, keep in mind that when King Piccolo is defeated he does something interesting... this will make you really want to see the next set: Piccolo Jr. (And who am I to stop you, that set is also very good.)

Dragon Ball Z:Androids Box SetDragon Ball Z:Androids Box Set
Rated 5 Stars"Great Box Set, it is worth a buy" 2004-02-03
This Box Set is an incredible deal, getting 4 DVD's (14 episodes) for just under $50. But the great part of all is that these DVD's are incredible. The first two DVD's in this box set detail the encounter with the very first androids, 19 and 20. They have amazing fight scenes and a very interesting story with tons of plot twists which end up with the unleashing of Androids 17 and 18 during the third DVD. The last two DVD's detail the fights with these androids. (Oh how great it is to see Vegeta completely fail.)

With tons of plot twists and an incredible story, this box set is definitely one to be had. The fact that they are uncut is good because there is a ton of humor in here that is taken out of the edited versions along with some of the fighting moments. Every DVD is bilingual, which means that they all have both the Uncut Dub and the Japanese Sub versions. The end of the box set sort of ends on quite a cliffhanger, which will leave you wanting the Imperfect Cell Box Set (and I'm not going to go and say that's bad, it is also a very good box set.)

In conclusion, this box set is definitely one to be bought, it is very good.

Dragon Ball - Tournament SetDragon Ball - Tournament Set
Rated 5 Stars"Superb collection of 15 Episodes" 2004-01-23
To get 15 amazing, uncut, Dragon Ball episodes for just over $30 is truly amazing. Not to mention that these episodes are some of the best available. They detail Goku and Krillin's training with Master Roshi and the tournament that follows. The uncut version lets us see Master Roshi as he was intended to be seen, a complete and total pervert. The training is exciting and a lot of it is just hilarious. Some of the fights when the tournament starts are good too. For example, there is one fight with a girl who actually strips down to her underwear to try and force her opponent (a man) out of the ring. It doesn't work, but it is very funny to watch. (Esspecially Master Roshi's reaction.)

The episodes really are great fun, though. With the final battle being both amazing and surprising, it is not a set to be missed. The hilarious jokes (some perverted, some not) and the action-packed adventure are not things you will want to miss. As for the actual DVD, there are no extras, but the menus sure do work pretty well. Like all DB DVD's (except for Saga of Goku) it has both the Japaneese and the English version. The English version is done very well. Some of the sex jokes are toned down a bit, but they are still pretty good. (For example, in the Japaneese, Master Roshi asks Goku to ask her if she has a Bra on. In the American, he asks him to ask her if she wants to take a walk with him.)

In conclusion, these two DVD's are great, you must get this collection.

Dragon Ball Z - Frieza Namek's EndDragon Ball Z - Frieza Namek's End
Rated 5 Stars"The final chapter of the Frieza Saga, a great DVD" 2004-01-23
This DVD is truly remarkable as it puts an end to the amazing Frieza Saga. The first episode shows the final destruction (well, at least until Trunks and stuff, but we'll leave it as that) of Frieza and includes many flash backs of the previous DVD's. The scene where Frieza get's destroyed is pure gold. (I love the manga dialoge. "You must die by my hands. I will kill you!" followed by Goku going, "You fool!" It's done almost perfectly in the Anime, but some of the dialoge is changed. It's still really great to watch.) The second episode shows Goku trying to get out alive and includes a little filler dual between Gohan and Vegeta.

The last episode surprises everyone (well, sort of, I mean the episode title does sort of give it away) and has everyone from Namek return. The conclusion is one that is truly amazing. I do, however, have a few complaints near the end. Why did Funimation put an episode preview to the Garlic Jr. Saga? It's something completey seperate and ussually at the end of a big saga, they just sort of end it. It's still good, I just found that weird. The DVD itself is good quality and has both the Japaneese Subbed version and the English Dubbed version. It has no bonus material, but that is to be expected. The DVD is deffinetaly worth a buy.

Dragonball Z, Vol. 32 - Trunks: Prelude to TerrorDragonball Z, Vol. 32 - Trunks: Prelude to Terror
Rated 5 Stars"Excellent DVD, it would be a shame not to buy it" 2004-01-22
This DVD comes with 5 spectacular episodes, making it an excellent edition to your Dragon Ball Z Collection. The first episode concludes Trunks's fight with King Kold. (Well, it technically shows the final death of Frieza, but that is also shown in the previous DVD along with the rest of the fight.) Anyway, the first episode on this DVD has the fight with King Kold and then the part where Trunks takes everyone to meet Goku. In the second episode, Trunks and Goku talk and he reveals some pretty astounding secrets. Make sure to watch the third episode in Japanese, if you decide to watch any of them in Japanese. The English one actually says completely incorrect information. (Yeah right, it won't take them three years to collect the Dragon Balls.)

Anyway, that's the first three episodes. The other two are filler but still very fun to watch. (Actually, they are some of the best, specifically the second.) The fourth episode on this DVD details how everyone prepares for the upcoming battle, including Vegeta's training in 400G. It's pretty exciting to watch all that happens. The last episode has Goku and Picollo learning to drive, which is really funny and exciting too. As for the DVD itself, it has no bonus features, but most Dragon Ball Z fans should be used to this. It is a great DVD to buy, so make sure you do!

Dragon Ball Z - Frieza - Fall of a TyrantDragon Ball Z - Frieza - Fall of a Tyrant
Rated 5 Stars"A great DVD, definitely worth a buy" 2004-01-21
This DVD showcases how Goku fights Frieza as Namek is about to blow up. While Toei DID manage to make a 5 minute fight stretch out to 9 episodes, it is still an exciting battle to watch. The filler pretty much makes the battle more intense and exciting. In the first episode of the four episode DVD, there is an amazing moment where everyone who died comes back to life. In what I think is a filler scene, Vegeta actually comes up to Goku and Frieza. That was a spectacular scene, to see him so close to the tyrant he hated, right before he got zapped back to earth.

The fight continues on through the second episode, third, and fourth episodes. Here, Goku gets stronger and stronger as he continually shows Frieza whose boss. This fight is truly spectacular, and NOT one to be missed. Meanwhile, the people who have returned to earth settle all of their problems too. There are some intense scenes with Vegeta (well, not too intense, you'll have to wait until the next DVD for that) and it is pretty interesting. There are no extras on this DVD, but you should come to expect that from Dragon Ball Z. Anyway, buy this. It showcases a great fight and is really intense.

Dragon Ball Z - Frieza - ClashDragon Ball Z - Frieza - Clash
Rated 5 Stars"This DVD showcases the battle between Goku and Frieza" 2004-01-17
And what a battle it is. Frieza's true fighting power is finally revealed in this amazing DVD. The first episode on this DVD is an all out fight between Goku and Frieza in which they both show some weird attacks that are great to watch. This includes Frieza playing "pinball" with Goku. (Well, that's what the back of the DVD calls it at least.) In the second episode, Frieza finally reveals how powerful he really is as the fight moves on. The episode also contains an amazingly funny filler debacle that will span three epsisodes. (The rest of this DVD and the first episode on the next DVD, Desperation.)

Yes, this three-episode filler debacle is where Captain Ginyu switches bodies with Bulma and the chaos that follows. The conclusion to it is in the next DVD, so be sure to check that out. The final episode shows Frieza reach new powers which are really high. He starts to take down Goku and the battle is incredible. As for the actual DVD features, there are no extra's, but you should be used to this. The cover is a screenshot from the DVD, but it is sort of misleading. It makes it look like Goku is winning when he is not. Anyway, this DVD is superb and deffinetaly a must-buy.

Dragon Ball - General Blue SagaDragon Ball - General Blue Saga
Rated 5 Stars"What an extraordinary set of episodes" 2004-01-15
This set of 12 uncut Dragon Ball episodes really does aim to please. The General Blue Saga is one of the best sagas in Dragon Ball and there is a reason for this. It has incredibly fun to watch episodes detailing Goku, Bulma, and Krillin's adventures. They go into a pirates cave from long ago, search for treasure, and fight General Blue. There is even three episodes at the end of the saga which really stand out because they are when Goku comes to Penguin Village, Arale's town. Arale is a girl (robot really) from Akira's first successful manga, Dr. Slump. For people who have read the manga, this is a real treat.

Not to mention that getting 12 episodes for just over $30 dollars is an incredible deal. Don't pass up the oppurtunity to get this truly spectacular DVD set. The General Blue Saga is not one to be missed.

Dragon Ball Z - Frieza - TransformationDragon Ball Z - Frieza - Transformation
Rated 5 Stars"This an excellent DVD, a must buy" 2004-01-15
This DVD showcases the first real fight Gohan, Krillen, and Vegeta have against Frieza in his second form. It includes an uncut-only episode by the name of "Gohan Attack's" which is a pretty intense episode that I highly reccommend watching. The other episodes also have plenty of action along with other details. For example, you learn a lot about the Saiyans in an interesting flashback during the first episode.

The final episode has a big surprise that you should be able to see on the cover of this DVD. Finally watching Piccollo take on Frieza is simply amazing. Anyway, these four episodes have plenty of action and are a must buy. The actual DVD has no real extra's or anything, but you should be used to that if you buy Dragon Ball Z DVD's often. These are episodes not to be missed. Make sure you don't.

Dragon Ball Z - Kid Buu Box SetDragon Ball Z - Kid Buu Box Set
Rated 5 Stars"A Great end to Dragon Ball Z and a great fight too" 2003-12-30
The Kid Buu Saga is mainly hear to showcase the final round between Goku, Vegeta, and the weak Kid Buu. While Kid Buu is rather weak compared to the other Buu's, Vegeta and Goku are weaker too. This keeps the action pretty intense and the ending (in the second to last DVD I mean) really suprised me. The final DVD is pretty nice and we get to see what happens ten years later. (I will not spoil anything.)

Anyway, the point is that this box set is really a great collection to have and watching the big fight uncut is a really great thing too. Enjoy it.

Dragon Ball Z - Majin Buu 7 Volume GiftDragon Ball Z - Majin Buu 7 Volume Gift
Rated 5 Stars"Truly beatiful and exciting story makes a great Box Set" 2003-12-30
This saga seems like a perfect fit for a box set. It details the adventures of an evil monster named Majin Buu. While this saga lacks in the fighting scenes, it focuses on other aspects. The next two sagas will have tons of fights, but this saga has a monster named Majin Buu and how he destroys cities while the warriors are forced to watch from a far.

It really is a pretty exciting saga. The first two DVD's have the strange emergence of the monster Buu and includes the most fighting in the saga. The end of the second DVD is unexpected and pretty amazing. After that, the rest of the five DVD's detail how Babidi and Majin Buu (and later this will actually change, but I won't spoil) are destroying the world while the warriors watch and prepare from a far.

It really makes the viewer wonder about the monster Majin Buu. This series makes him a sort of "weird" villain in the way he acts, not as one-sided as some of the previous villains and does a good job of making what will happen in the next two sagas make more sense. A great watch, it is very exciting. I highly reccommend it.

Dragon Ball Z - Captain Ginyu - Double CrossDragon Ball Z - Captain Ginyu - Double Cross
Rated 5 Stars"Excellent DVD, worth the buy" 2003-12-30
This is an excellent DVD in all respects save the cover. (The cover is incredibly stupid if you didn't notice. An irrelevent screen shot.) There are two versions on this DVD, like all Dragon Ball Z DVD's except for Saiyan/Namek Sagas. This is actually the second DVD of the first uncut saga in American Dragon Ball.

The two versions it contains in the English Dubbed version and the Japaneese Subbed version. I reccommend watching both, although some hardcore fans only watch the Subbed. Even though most of the dialog is changed in the Dubbed version (and the music is much worse) it is still a very fun watch and highly enjoyable.

The DVD and story itself is really good. It has an exciting battle between Goku and Ginyu and the demise of Ginyu is really great and pretty funny too. It's an excellent DVD and I highly reccommend it.

Stuntman - PlayStation 2 (PS2)Stuntman - PlayStation 2 (PS2)
Rated 4 Stars"A great game. A hard one. But still, a great game." 2002-08-04
The makers of Driver are back to make an exciting new game! I was never a huge fan of the Driver series, but this games concept made me have to have it. Just think, you are a stuntman for a multi-million dollar production. You are required to jump off ramps, crash into things. cross bridges right before they blow up, and tons of more action-packed things. You'll enjoy every second of it.

This game has six movies, each with multiple stunt sequences. Each of these stunt sequences make you perform about ten stunts quickly and accurately. The stunt sequences are very hard. You might find yourself spending up to 8 hours trying to complete one stunt sequence. However, it is all worth it in the end. The game is very fun and challenging.

There are a few things that cause the huge difficulty of Stuntman. For one, the clock gives you barely any time, so any mistake is fatal. Also, you can't just complete the level. You also have to complete a huge percent of the stunts. However, after completing a stunt sequence, you will be very happy with your accomplishment.

There is a very fun mode that let's you cool off from the difficulty of the main game. This extra mode is the stunt arena. It let's you set up stunts and then perform them. You can create stunts using stunt toys you unlocked in the main game. This mode is actually pretty exciting, so I suggest you try it.

There is only one real problem that plagues Stuntman. The problem is that the game has very long loading times. The loading times for the animations and when you start a new stunt sequence are about 20 seconds. (There are many of these.) Every time you fail a stunt sequence, you sit through a 6 second loading time.

What about the control? Well, the game has nice control and physics. I sometimes have a few problems with crashes. Almost nothing in the game is breakable except the things you need to break for a stunt. If you crash, you have no chance of finishing the stunt sequence in time.

Stuntman has pretty good graphics and excellent sound effects. The music can get pretty boring very easily, but that's okay. None of this detracts from the gameplay, so you'll be fine.

If you've ever wanted to be a Stuntman, or you just love pure action, you have to check this game out. It is an incredible game that you must play at some point in your life. Just try to sit through those loading times. (And make sure you have plenty of free time.)

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle - Nintendo GameCubeSonic Adventure 2: Battle - Nintendo GameCube
Rated 5 Stars"This... game... is... so... good..." 2002-07-13
I can't even begin to describe how good this game is. It has to be the best Gamecube game yet. Maybe it is even close to being the best game ever. Yes, that is how good Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is.

Sonic Adventure 2 was originally released for Dreamcast. This is the Gamecube version. In this version, a new two-player mode has been added. But let's start with the single player story.

The Single player Mode has two stories. A Hero mode and a Dark mode. In Hero mode you play as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. In Dark Mode you play as Shadow (A new character who looks like Sonic), Dr. Eggman, and Rouge.

If you have ever played a 3D Sonic game you should be able to understand the gameplay. Basically, it is almost a platformer. But it really isn't really because you need to go very fast through each level. Sonic has always been about speed. And you'll get plenty of it here! Maybe the term "action" better suits the game.

Not all the levels in SA2: Battle have this "action" style to them. Some are quieter. I am Talking about the Knuckles/Rouge levels. See, the action style mentioned above only applies to Sonic/Shadow levels. In the Knuckles/Rouge levels you have a radar to help you find items like jewels. There are also Tails/Eggman levels. Tails and Eggman are in little robot suits that can shoot. These levels are shooting levels. They are like 3rd person shooters, but a bit different.

Sonic Adventure also introduced little cute pets called "Chao" (pronounced Chow.) These little cute pets get even more fun in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. You can raise them until they become an adult! You can feed than animals you find during the main game. You can also use rings from the main game to buy them fruits. These items will raise the attributes of the Chao. (Such as Flying and Running.) Then, you can start racing you Chao in Chao races! SA2: Battle sticks with the Hero/Dark story by allowing... Hero and Dark Chao! The fun will never end!

What's left? The two player mode obviously! This mode only allows two players. Oh well. The first choice is the action race. This is a race to the finish in a Sonic/Shadow type of level. You can do a grinding race, a snowboarding race, or just a regular level race.

In the Treasure Hunt Mode you play in a Knuckles/Rouge type of level. The object is to try to collect all the pieces of the master emerald using the radar. This is the slower two-player game.

The last "regular" two-player mode is the Shooting mode. This is a head to head battle between two players. You can have a shooting battle or you can have a race to the finish where you must shoot obstacles along the way.

There is always the ability to race Chao or Kart race in the two-player mode. (Kart Racing is also available in the Single Player mode when unlocked, as stated in the SA2: Battle Instruction Manual) Kart Racing is where you can use the six main players to race in small "go karts." This is pretty fun and some people can really enjoy it.

Okay, that is the gameplay. What about the music? Sonic Adventure 2: Battle has some very good music. There are a few songs for every character plus a ton of other songs. The songs range from rap to pop. They were all made specially for Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.

The graphics in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle are pretty nice. While they are a huge improvement over the DC graphics, they don't scream "wow" at you. The graphics are pretty much average for the Gamecube. However, the frame rates (even during top speed) stay very good. Choppy frame rates are a thing of the past!

There is one problem with Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. The game could have been perfect without this problem. The problem is the Camera. The camera can't always stay at the correct angle. Sometimes it gets hard to see Sonic. This can even lead to death sometimes.

In Conclusion, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is a very good game you want to own. You will not regret spending 50 dollars on such a great game. Even with the bad camera angles, you will NOT be disappointed.

Pac-Man World 2 - Nintendo GameCubePac-Man World 2 - Nintendo GameCube
Rated 4 Stars"A few changes and it is perfect!" 2002-05-16
Being a fan of 3D platformers I felt it was my obligation to pick Pac-man World 2 up. ... However, I never expected it to be as good as it was.

Graphics 9/10
The graphics are really nice. I know people keep saying that these graphics are bad, but they are using a lot of the Gamecubes power. After playing it for a long time, I never saw a choppy frame rate.

Sound 7/10
It nothing special, but it doesn't get annoying. It's not as good as SA2: Battle's music is.

Control 8/10
Actually moving Pac-man around and jumping isn't a problem. The problem comes with poor camera angles and occasionally you will also have touchy controls. The slightest move can send Pac-man to his doom. This isn't that common, but the poor camera angles are. They can get REALLY annoying in some cases. At one part of the game it took me ten tries to get through a spot because of bad camera angles. (It's a good thing every time I died I could get an extra life. That way I could try as many times as I wanted.)

Gameplay 9/10
This game has six worlds, each with at least 3 levels. There are also six bosses. Each of the levels are pretty strait-forward. You just get to the end. That's the easy part. To get a 100% you need to collect all the fruits and pac-dots. This gets really hard on the later levels. You can also do time-trial mode to attempt to clear a level as fast as you can. Then, try the arcade, where you can play all the old pac-man games if you collect enough tokens.

Fun Factor 9/10
The touchy controls and poor camera angles do lower this score, but the game is still fun. It has plenty of levels and then adds a ton of replay value to all the levels. It even has a multiplayer mode for the arcade games. (The regular game lacks an multiplayer mode.) Pac-man World 2 combines elements of the original pac-man with modern 3D platformers to make a fun game worthy of [the price].

Here is how my scoring system works:
Graphics: 10%
Sound: 05%
Control: 25%
Gameplay: 30%
Fun Factor: 30%

Pac-man World 2 got the following scores:
Graphics: 9 (.9)

Rated 3 Stars"Fun, BUT..." 2002-03-02
This is a great game! It has ten events, each very fun. However, a create a player mode would be nice. A more realistic olympic compitition would be great. Also, IT NEEDS REAL ATHLETES!

Speed Skating 6/10
It's fun, but pressing O and X at various speeds isn't THAT fun.

Figure Skating 6/10
You have to press buttons at certain time to get the skater to do tricks. Not really that good.

Moguls 9/10
This is really fun. You can perform a ton of tricks of the two ramps. The turns with the L and R button are also nice.

Slalom 2/10
I HATE this event. It is impossible not to miss a gate. Ughhhh!

Downhill 4/10
It is is a little easier to not miss a gate, but it is still really hard.

Bobsleigh 8/10
This is another great event. At the start you press O and X rapidly and then L to get the each athlete in the bobsleigh. Then, you steer the Bobsleigh to the end.

Half-Pipe Snowboarding 6/10
It's okay... but it's not really that fun. You just have to press the right button at the right moment.

Ski Jumping K90 10/10
NO JOKE! This is one AMAZING event. First, you press the left and right control stick down to set the wind. Then, you hold them to to gain speed and push them both of when you get to the jump.Push them bothe slowly down as you fall to keep up with the yellow line. Press L or R to land.

Ski Jumping K120 4/10
This is what happens when you take K90, replace everything with button mashing, and excpect it to be fun. Ughhhh!

Curling 5/10
I know how to play but... It's not really all that fun in Winter Sports 2002. The computers are also unrealistically good.

Now that you have read my review, I hope you can make an honest decision.

I had never played a great football game until early January 2002. I thought I did, but I didn't. Nope, Madden 2002 beats all of them by quite a bit.

Graphics: 10/10

Okay, so I admit it, these graphics are the best. They beat plenty of other Gamecube games.

Controls: 10/10

Here, I can find problems with Madden 2002 for many systems.

XBOX: White button? Why not the left trigger.
PS2: The controller is pretty bad at this.
PS: Same as PS2
N64: Not too many here but, it's not as good as the Cubes.
GAMECUBE: NO PROBLEMS!

Speed: 8/10

The only Gamecube game I have played with loading times. (They are short.) Oh well.

Sound: 9/10

The music is awesome, but those announcers (esspecially the lady) can get annoying.

Gameplay 10/10

This is what it comes down to. Is it fun? Yes. It has tons of amazing modes plus great football you won't find in Blitz or QB Club. Get it... NOW!

Rated 4 Stars"Short but good." 2002-01-27
First of all, this game is FUN. Collecting three colors of little alien pikmin to kill enemies and get ship parts is FUN. But, there are a few problems. First of all, only 15 minutes a day? Yes. There is only 15 minutes each day and only 30 days. Why? It made me more hesistent to play this game. It was as if 1 wrong move and it was the end. Be prepared to repeat days LOT. Other than that, it is pretty good.

SSX Tricky - Nintendo GameCubeSSX Tricky - Nintendo GameCube
Rated 4 Stars"Snowboarding at it's best!" 2002-01-23
I got this game ... at [the store] and I can say I am not disappointed. To tell you the truth, I don't really like snowboarding games that much. (This is the first one I ever bought, I played 1080 Snowboarding at a friends house.) However, it was better than I expected, but not perfect.

Graphics: 9/10
The Graphics are pretty good. I have seen better in other Gamecube games, but this will have to do.

Sound: 10/10
This is SSX Tricky's best attribute. The music was custom made for this game by various artists. After listning for a while (during game play)I have to say that it is amazing music.

Control: 10/10
The control is also very nice. Turning is easily accomplished and it is easy to perform a trick, but hard tricks get much harder to perform. This offers enough challenge for everyone.

Gameplay: 9/10
The game has eight normal coarses that need to be unlocked by winning races in race mode or by getting enough points in showoff mode. There are two extra coarses that when unlocked, can only be accessed in Practice mode. (This is something I do not like too much.) Speaking of modes, there are three main modes. Practice, World Circuit and Single Race. Each can be accessed with one or two players except World Circuit. World Circuit is the were you can race in competitions and try to unlock more level. In Single Race, you can race against the computer or a friend in one race. In practice mode, you can race just for fun by yourself or with a friend. (no computers.) You can also do trick practice in practice mode. This allows you to try to perform all the tricks in the game.

Fun Factor: 9/10
Each of the coarses is a fast-paced race or trick fest to the bottom. SSX Tricky is not a realistic game, but is more of a no physics at all, type of game. Even if you are not a major fan of snowboarding, I still recommend picking this up. You will not be disappointed. I know I sure wasn't.

If you have ever read any of my reviews you will know the scoring system is always:

Graphics: 10%
Sound: 05%
Control: 25%
Gameplay: 30%
Fun Factor: 30%

SSX Tricky got the following scores:
Graphics: 9(.9)
Sound: 10(.5)
Control: 10(2.5)
Gameplay: 9(2.7)
Fun Factor: 9(2.7)

Final Score: 9.3 rounds to a 9!

With tons of games you can't go wrong purchasing this console. SSBM is deffinetally a MUST buy, so is Luigi's Mansion and Pikmin. If that is STILL not enough, try SSX Trickey, Super Monkey Ball, Madden 2002, and Tony Hawk 3.

Graphics 9/10

With only some of XBOX's games as competition, Gamecube's graphics rule! If you take a look at Luigi's mansion you'll see what I mean.

Speed 10/10

If there is one thing Gamecube is, that would be fast. There is NO loading time. This was one of the problems with Tony Hawk 3 for PS2. Gamecubes launch lineup has NO slow games.

Noise 10/10

Gamecube is SO silent it's freaky. I mean, there is NO noise. The system stays as quiet as ever while you screaming and playing SSBM!

Multiplayer Support 10/10

This one was easy. Take a look at the PS2 with only two controller ports. Talk about Lame! Gamecube has four controller ports, just like the N64. Also, most multiplayer games(all of the ones I have played) support 4-player gameplay.

Controller 10/10

This controller plays BETTER than it looks. First of all, it looks amazing. You might suddendly think, OH NO! it going to be impossible to play on it! Don't worry, the controller is very well made and extremely easy to use.

Future Games 10/10

If you think Gamecube's launch lineup is awesome wait untill you look into the future. I AM DYING TO GET ZELDA AND MARIO SUNSHINE!

Game Disk 10/10

This Game Disk is SO COOL! Ever since I first held the preview CD-ROM I have loved these really small disks. Also it is very easy to makes games on the cube(like I said earlier) so expect a lot more of these discs coming!

As one can see, the Gamecube is only the best console ever!

Rated 4 Stars"AMAZING GAME!" 2001-12-01
I got this game along with a jet Gamecube a few weeks after launch. The graphics RULE! The gameplay RULES! The idea of sucking up ghosts might not sound like the best idea in the world, but it is! The gameplay is so addicting you'll be playing years after beating the game!
