This one thick book that covers AJAX quite well. It discusses the meaning and history of the mesh of technologies that make up AJAX, various techniques and even covers some sample projects. It took me a few times to get through the book, but I do recommend it. It's a great read for anyone doing any web development.

I bought this book years ago wanting to learn CSS before it became popular. I have always loved the artwork produced on csszengarden's web site. I figured that the book would teach me css. I was somewhat wrong. The book covers techniques the page developers used to create some of the artwork, but never really explains what the different settings mean. The book also seemed to jump around and did not flow with any explanation. I ended up learning CSS from the web. Even now that I know CSS extensively, I have gone back and read this book again and can really see how it jumps around and does not explain the techniques very well. I do still keep the book in my toolbox for some reference, but hardly ever look at it anymore.

I like this book because it combined Dreamweaver and PHP and shows in detail how to create recordsets and create a site from scratch. The book goes into detail on how to setup a LAMP and WAMP server. I used this book as a reference when I first started learning PHP. I recommend this book to all PHP beginners.

This is the scariest book that I have ever read. If you are to believe what Mary K. Baxter claims to have witnessed, it will cause you to really think about your mortality. This book is thought-provoking. I personally scared me into going to church more and really being thankful for what I have. I recommend it to everyone!

One of the best CD's I have ever bought. I am a big Joe fan and he did not disappoint with this CD. Almost every track is smooth and seductive. This is definitely a CD that would want to listen to when you are with your lady or special guy. I recommend "And Then" to all of the lovers out there.

Great Book! This book goes into detail explaining techniques used to generate photo realistic results. The best Photoshop book I have read other than Chanel Chops. The book has very high quality color photos and the text is easy to read. I attribute this book in part to my personal expertise with Photoshop. It has helped me make some serious money doing graphic arts projects. I highly recommend this book.

Great book. It really got me started when I first had started my trek on learning PHP. It goes more in depth than other books I had read before. The only thing I would recommend is a better chapter on error coding and security. Over all I recommend this book.
Okay, I am back about a year or so later after leaving my original review (see paragraph above). This is still a great book. I have used it so much that the binding has broken and I have a hard time keeping the pages together. I have sticky notes all in it and actually use it in my office to refer to MySQL dates and other little things. Great, great book. If you really want to get your feet wet with PHP and MySQL, please don't pass this book up.
