Zeroll #2040 Universal EZ DisherZeroll #2040 Universal EZ Disher
Rated 5 Stars"Handles heavy batters with ease" 2008-08-04
For years I've used two stainless steel scoops for cookie-baking. One regular sized scoop and one comparably sized (i.e. jumbo cookie-sized) to the black-handled Zeroll. The stainless ones have been the bain of my cookie-baking in that the metal-toothed gear at the bottom of the handle would frequently "jump the tracks" and leave the inner ring hanging outside the scoop. Several minutes and a stout kitchen knife would then be needed to pry the teeth back in alignment. No more will that be necessary - these scoops work flawlessly. They scoop through stiff batters and release the dough smoothly with no wailing or knashing of teeth - mine or the scoop's.

Rated 1 Stars"TDK "music" CD-Rs not reliable" 2008-04-21
These CD-Rs from TDK have been a real disappointment - they don't play in some CD players, will play sporadically in others...there's a problem here that, in my experience, seems specific to the TDK "music" discs.

Rated 1 Stars"Sprint service terrible" 2007-07-07
It doesn't matter how many bells and whistles a phone has - it will only be as good as the carrier and with Sprint, you will be headed for disappointment and frustration. Customer service, when you can actually get through to them, is incompetent. Prepare to have hours of your time stolen from you when you deal with a billing problem with Sprint. I've had charges for services I never ordered nor authorized appear on my bill, and then spent literally hours of time e-mailing, trying to access their website and calling, with no resolution. Find a phone you can like with another carrier.

Customer service, when you can actually get through to them, is incompetent. Prepare to have hours of your time stolen from you when you deal with a billing problem with Sprint. VillaWare 2010 UNO Pro Belgian Gravity Waffler - Cast aluminumVillaWare 2010 UNO Pro Belgian Gravity Waffler - Cast aluminum
Rated 1 Stars"2 months old - heating element has failed" 2007-03-20
I've owned any number of VillaWare products in the past and have always been happy with their quality and longevity. This product has not lived up to that reputation - the heating element has failed on this unit after only about 6 uses in 2 months.

Toshiba Satellite P105-S9337 17Toshiba Satellite P105-S9337 17" Notebook PC (Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7200, 2 GB RAM, 200 GB Hard Drive, SuperMulti DVD Drive, Vista Premium)
Rated 1 Stars"Failed component still not fixed - being told by Toshiba 1 month for repair" 2007-02-02
3 months into ownership, the modem fails on our Toshiba P105. We contact Toshiba - they refer us to a local firm that does their repairs for the entire South Texas region. Takes them almost two weeks to say that the part is on backorder and will take over 1 month to get it in and fix this machine. I call Toshiba 800 number, and Toshiba corporate in CA; they promise to phone back trying to find part faster than 1 month. They don't phone back (big surprise). So far I'm at over 4 hours of phone time with holds calling them. When I phone back, they still don't know about the part, and claim that, by law, they have 30 days to do warranty repairs. I point out that, as it stands now, they will take over 30 days for this repair, and request a replacement to get us back up and running again. Not their policy, I'm told and they dispute the 30 days, because they're not counting the days at the local repair depot before I started calling them directly - they'll only count the time from when I let them know about the failed part. They also claim that they stand behind their product. Does this sound like support? Purchase Toshiba at your peril.

Rated 1 Stars"Mediscams or medibiases?" 2001-11-19
Whitlock examines both "traditional" and "alternative" medical practices with results that are hit and miss. He 'hits' the HMO debacle right on the head, and his discussion of his mother's experience with and subsequent death due to HMO 'mangled care' will certainly hit a resonant chord with many. Unfortunately, his bias towards 'traditional' medicine and the medical establishment is obvious in his discussion of everything from chiropractic care to therapeutic touch. Chiropractors are little more than cheats and charletans, according to Whitlock and his proof that therapeutic touch is bogus? - a ninth grade science fair project. I doubt that had a science fair project had positive results, it would have been cited as proof that an alternative modality works. If you are looking for a balanced, unbiased assessment of both traditional and alternative medical practices, this isn't the book for you.
