| HP 57 Tri-Color Ink Cartridge | ||
![]() | "Good quality color cartridge" | 2009-10-14 |
| I have tried alternatives to the HP brand for printer ink, but every time I have problems with print quality. Generic cartridges left streaks or did not work at all, and refilling was painfully messy at best.
Now I purchase only the HP brand printer cartridges for my HP printer. I have never had any problems with this style/brand/make of cartridge. Consistently, the ink is delivered crisply, clearly and without inconsistencies to my paper. No smudging, smearing or leaking. The only time there is ever an issue is when the ink gets too low and the color becomes faded or less precise-- time to change out the cartridge, obviously. These cartridges have a very easily identifiable numbering system. Getting the right size and type of ink is easy with HP's system. I appreciate that, for sure! Also, the cartridges are designed so that they are easy to install-- you just remove it from the package, peel off the tape and slide it into place in the printer. | ||

| Folding Paper for Origami | ||
![]() | "Lightweight paper, cut well" | 2008-04-15 |
| This paper is of fair to good quality. It is not very heavy and easy to use for folding. The color on each sheet is on one side; the backsides are white. The package states, "6 vibrant colors, plus gold foil". Technically, there is one gold sheet, four solid colors (red, purple, yellow and green), and two prints (orange with a white design that looks like repeated asterisks, and cyan-blue with white flowers blossoms). The prints look nice in my completed origami projects. The included "booklet" presents instructions for the following origami pieces: Simple Swan, Pig, Tortoise, Samurai Helmet, Rowboat, Star Box. These are perfect for a beginner adult, but a child will definitely need guidance to complete them. | ||
| Who Needs Donuts | ||
![]() | "One of my very favorites" | 2006-12-09 |
| This was one of my very favorite books as a child, and I've wanted to find a reprint. Finally it is available!! This book is chock full of details. Every page is filled with fun and silly drawings, and about a ba-jillion little images that tell stories within stories within stories. I remember I loved to search the pages for something I hadn't seen before, and then create new stories from my own imagination. This book is about a happy boy that one day thinks he needs something else. He becomes obsessed with doughnuts and journeys to try to collect them all-- he can't get enough. In the process, he adventures away from home and all through the city. There is plenty of ridiculousness and just plain loony stuff in this book, which makes it particularly fun and memorable. This is a perfect gift for a very creative or imaginitive child (or adult). "Who Needs Donuts?" is fun and entertaining, but also makes you feel happy with what you have in life. | ||
