| As indicated in another review, this cable works fine, but tends to sit in the Firewire 800 port on the computer a bit loosely. If your computer looks like mine, there are many cables coming out the back, and if you jiggle one it might very well jiggle this one so it isn't making good contact. Other than that, no issues! | ||

| I could write tons of stuff on this excellent product. But it's easier to say everything is great EXCEPT that it does not have battery charge meter. You have no way of knowing, when you pull the camera out of your drawer, if it has 100%, 50%, or only 2% of the battery charge left. A serious problem. For me, an annoyance. Other than this problem (which could be solved if you own a second battery and always keep one of them 100% charged), it's perfect. Great flexibility, great quality, compact, easy to use, display and viewfinder, etc.... | ||

| This Garmin Nuvi is a great little unit. Here are my pluses and minuses: + size + battery life (you don't have to have it plugged in all the time!) + intuitive interface (you won't get lost in the menus) + bright, clear, display + good "text to speech" (calling of street names) - no ability to specify a route or have more than one way-point (but at this price, you've got to give up something!) - dimming is based on time of day, not ambient light - so for example it doesn't dim in a tunnel - no "TURN NOW" ding like the Magellan All in all, I just love this unit and don't think you can get a better, easier-to-use unit for the money. I highly recommend it. | ||

| This is my second Sony MiniDV camera (my dad dropped and broke my first one). It works great and provides good quality. There are lots of great comments and reviews out there, and I won't repeat all that stuff. Here are a few quick comments: - It's small enough to fit in a belly-pack or fanny-pack. That means it's easy to bring along. Cameras left at home don't deliver very good results! - I thought having the 40x optical zoom would be awesome. It is, but here's my caveat - it's virtually impossible to hand-hold the camera at full zoom and get a decent picture - even with the great image stabilization feature turned on. When you get past about 25x, you'll need a tripod or to brace the camera on a ledge or something. - Night vision (using an infra-red emitter to illuminate in total darkness) is a great feature, which most people overlook. Great stuff, as expected, from Sony! | ||

| We tried to use this device to alert the folks at our community's gatehouse that vehicles were approaching. It worked (mostly) for about six months to a year, but in our application it became too high maintenance. Factors that may have adversely affected its performance in our application: - Remote sensor was outdoors - Remote sensor was subject to extremes of heat - Remote sensor was exposed to sprinklers We finally gave up on this. But it might work well in a less climatically demanding environment. | ||

| There is NO back-up software that is comprehensive and yet VERY simple to use. But this software does a good job of keeping it relatively simple. On the advice of a knowledgeable friend, I purchased this version 9, which is out of date. Buying a later version just means you'll pay more, but get only "bloatware." This software does a great job of supporting good back-up practices, and got great reviews from the computer magazines and web sites. I use it to create complete images of my XP drives. When my drive finally fails, I'll be able to pop in a new C drive and in an hour or so be doing exactly what I was doing on the failed drive. Get it and you'll know why. | ||

| This is a simple product. It's a network cable that's very long. I needed this to run through conduit across the roof and eave of my home, because wireless wasn't working due to the locations of the computers.
It has held up well. The "snagless" simply means the little risers are on the side so when you pull it through, the release tab is less likely to catch on other wires and things. | ||

| Like many people, I have spent hundreds of dollars in the past in search of the universal remote that truly is universal.
To be truly universal, it needs to be able to control ALL my A/V devices, and be able to do ANY and ALL of the functions that my other remotes can do. This one meets those standards. Although the software interface is not 100% intuitive, it's very powerful. I was able to do 95% of the programming myself. And the technical support guys at the other end of the toll-free number (in Toronto) answer promptly, are competent, helpful, polite, and fun to work with - and they did the 5% I couldn't (or didn't know how to) do myself. Only down side items: 1) I wish the fast forward, play, etc. buttons were located around the up/down/left/right/enter pad in the center. 2) I wish the buttons were a bit bigger 3) I wish there were a complete PDF manual downloadable | ||

| I like the retractable blade, but the notches that keep the blade in one of various positions are not adequate, and the blade keeps retracting.
Also, the access to change the blade and storage of extra blades are NOT obvious and are difficult to figure out. | ||

| This is a great, high-capacity, well-priced, and well-designed external drive. It installed flawlessly. My only complaint about this unit is that if you leave it connected to AC and connected to your computer (I use FireWire, but the same applies to USB), it will ALWAYS power on when your computer boots up. I only use it to back-up, which is about once a week or so - and I don't want it running all the time my PC is running. | ||
