this is a great book i loved it so much and im very picky.at first glance this book seems racist but its just the opposite.because this book explains how the confederate soldiers were poor and didnt own slaves and werent fighting to keep slaves.if someone invaded your backyard you would fight too.and with the us invading the south these men had no choice but to defend their land.also the author has done much research on robert e lee and where he stood on slavery.and how he was against it.lee's writings back then prove this to be true.i enjoyed this book and all the great detail to all the things around during the cival war.good work harry.

i'm surprised nobody noticed that if luke did miss wouldnt the death star have blown up the planet since that was what it was about to do before it was blown up.so if luke had missed,the death star would have blown up the planet yavin with leia on it and han and luke surely would have been killed by the imperial fleet with nowhere to run.so this story what if couldnt really happen cause there is too many holes.mainly the big one being leia would be dead since she was on the planet when the death star was about to fire and was saved by luke hitting the target shaft.surprised nobody mentions this on the reviews.

I WONDER IF THAT REVIEWER ERIC ANDREWS KNOWS THAT THE BEATLES WERE STILL A GROUP WHEN RINGO RECORDED THIS ALBUM.HE SHOULD GET HIS FACTS STRAIGHT.BEATLES ALWAYS DABBED IN SOLO WORKS WHILE THEY WERE A BAND DATING BACK TO WHEN JOHN WROTE BOOKS AS A SIDELINE AND PAUL DID MUSIC SOUNDTRACKS LIKE THE FAMILY WAY,AND GEORGE FOR THE MOVIE WONDERWALL.RINGO SOUNDS BETTER SINGING COUNTRY SONGS.ITS HARD ENOUGH FOR MOST SINGERS TO SING THESE SONGS LET ALONE RINGO.HE DOES A GOOD JOB ON MOST OF THEM.BUT NOT ALL.AND I THINK HE COULD HAVE SUNG THE TITLE SONG SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY BETTER.HIS VOICE HAS KIND OF A TWANG TO IT WHEN HE SINGS IT.AND HE SHOULDNT HAVE SUNG IT LIKE THAT.HE DIDNT SING GOODNIGHT OFF THE WHITE ALBUM LIKE THAT.ALTHOUGH I THINK THE ANTHOLOGY EARLY TAKE OF GOODNIGHT IS WAY BETTER THAN THE WHITE ALBUM VERSION.I ALSO RECOMMEND RINGO'S VERSION OF DON'T PASS ME BY ON THE VH1 STORYTELLERS CD.THAT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE WHITE ALBUM VERSION.I KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS HEARD IT WILL AGREE.I'D ALSO LIKE TO SAY IT WAS NICE THAT GEORGE AND JOHN AND PAUL WROTE AND COMPOSED SONGS FOR RINGO TO SING LIKE IT DON'T COME EASY AND IM THE GREATEST AND PHOTOGRAPH.

supergrass is not really known in the states and it's a shame they are ver good and very talented but they are to british for american ppl i guess but that does not take away from how great they sound and this cd shows all that they have grown up listening to and they put it in their music you can hear influences by sex pistols,the who,the beatles,the rolling stones,the small faces,and even elton john,but they somehow make it work and it has some great songs on it that maybe are not quite addictive when you first hear it but after a couple pf plays you find you listen to it more and more and that is what makes a great cd the fact you can listen to it over and over and not get bored of it this holds up well.

oasis broke through with this cd in usa but they show their influences on this cd and they are using guitars that don't take away the melody it can still be heard to this point but on their later cd's you don't hear the melody it's hidden behind louder guitars and thats not what oasis should do they don't need to get louder they just need to get more elodic and this is as melodic as oasis got in my opinion.

this is blurs best cd in my opinion although their self titled cd has some songs on it that are better than anything on here over all this has more good songs on it than blur and it has the great girls and boys on it although i think the single version is better than the cd version here if you can find it i recomend that version,i love songs like parklife and end of a century they are so british blur didnt really breakthrough in us till their next cd they made with song2 that really made them known in the us but they started making great music right here this is when it started.

it's a shame when a fat guy can get a group of guys with no musical talent and make money off of them and their manager has done that he has done it more than once too but whats really sad is that the public is too stupid and is so easy to manipulate.paul mccartney said john lennon would have hated nsync cause they liked guitar men thats why they got into music cause of guys like eddie cochran and buddy holly and elvis and chuck berry they all played guitar lennon hated the boy groups who just sang that wasnt talent and to be in music you should be able to play music.they should be ashamed when they play in concert and they are not playing in concert it's either pre-recorded music or a band behind them thats embarrasing.boy groups come and go and fat guys who made them get rich.look at chuck berry and buddy holly how many boy groups who were around then are remembered today as they are.new kids on the block who had the same manager who made them like he did with nsync are just a distant memory and forgotton the same will be with nsync it's just a quick way to get rich.disgustngly wholesome is the name for this group where is the danger the rebel in them even the beatles had long hair and songs banned for contreversy lyrics this group has none of that they are clean cut harmless.bye bye bye is awful all the songs have to do with the same thing they don't sing of nothing else but love perfect for girls but it's not something for music lore.

i laugh at the stupidity of my generation for saying they don't like the beatles because it's old music how stupid is that.to young people beatle music isnt old its new because we havent heard it for years and years like the older generations have.beatles music is for the aged not the ages.rock of ages!i feel sorry for the people who put down the beatles because they will never know what great music is and it truly sad.of course there are a few that do know about them and listen but most don't.this music will not be forgotton it will be around forever cause it is now the stuff of cd's and dvd's and will outlive you and me and your kids and thats what great music does it stands the test of time as the beatles have done.

the kinks made 3 (5) star albums and this is one of them and the best out of those 3.and in my opinion the best in music history.it is that good the music on every song is very catchy and the lyrics are genious.ray davies never reached these heights again nor did the kinks.by the end of the 60's his writing skills were burned out.but between 66-69 he was as good at writing as were lennon and mccartney just not commercially as succesful which is sad because the kinks are remembered for hits like you really got me and lola when they made music and lyrics so much better than these songs.truly the best music of the 60's here and so far to date.maybe someday someone will make music better but for right now this is the best i have ever heard.every song is brilliant.

this is the beginning of the kinks as truly great artists.they progress here and show they have much talent.they are really close to getting to the ultimate level which they would reach musically and lyrically in 2 years.almost every song is good here.the kinks from now till arthur their last great album made music on a level so high that after arthur they never reached that level again.but we have these cd's to remind us how good they really were.

anyone can sing but to play and sing at the same time is something the bsb can't do,this requires talent something the bsb do not have.ths cd has songs on one subject only where is the diverse writing skills.you can't progress musically if you don't play,look at new kids on the block,boyz to men,and nsync bands with no music ability.i suggest listening to led zeppelin a group who actually made their own music and it is still being played and will still be played when we are gone and when are chidren are gone too.bsb won't even be remembered.just look at the reviews of any any led zeppelin cd.
