When this show came on, I didn't have the Showtime network sadly. When it moved onto Sci-Fi, I didn't watch it either until much later. Lately, my dad brought the 2 first seasons and I got him the third season for Christmas and started to watch them in August. I must say, I was quite impressed at the show. Of course, I had the movie (not the direct-to-video movies) so I was a big fan of the concept. Richard Dean Anderson of MacGuyver fame stars as O'Neill as he commands SG1, a team that travels through the Stargate and explores other planets and battling the Goa'uld System Lords...namely Apothis. On the way, they meet the Asguard (which look like "Greys") and befriends one by the name of Thor. SG-1 also befriends Teal'c, who was Apothis' First Prime. Great Introduction of a series, and I look forward to getting the other seasons as well. | ||

I must admit that this is a good movie, despite the horrible make-up that Micheal J. Fox wears when he transforms into the "wolf". Why is it that every movie (and TV Show) that has a werewolf in it, the "werewolf" looks more like Bigfoot than an actual wolf? Hellsing is the only movie that I could think of that doesn't turn the werewolf into a Bigfoot rip-off. But Teen Wolf is a good movie about this basketball star that becomes a werewolf, and his father is too. I never saw the sequel to Teen Wolf, and from what I hear that's a very good thing. This is a movie from my childhood and it's very good, despite that Bigfoot make-up. | ||

I have to say that this is the best Harry Potter game I've played. Gone are the Zelda-style puzzles and wandering through places that don't exist in the books or movies. This stays pretty close to the movie and the book in general. While not having everything in the book, there's a small reference to S.P.E.W. and some dialogue directly from the book. Casting spells feels natural and I didn't have to repeat any duels I did. Besides the main quest, there's loads of unlockables to discover, including the Room of Rewards. The actors from the movies lend their voices in the game, so that's a big plus for you to get this game. There's no multiplayer and no Xbox LIVE interaction whatsoever. The characters look like their counterparts well. | ||

I just recently read the Complete and Uncut edition of "The Stand", and I thought I might take a look at the 1994 mini-series of it. Just like everything that's adapted from a book, it left certain things out and the effects were cheap...but CGI was new back then. Following a deadly plague that kills most people, the survivors of the plague have a dream about a black woman named Abagail Freemantle ("Most people 'round here just call me Mother Abagail") calling people to her. The survivors also have dreams about "The Walkin Dude", a.k.a. Randall Flagg. Some people join with the 106-year-old Freemantle in Boulder, while others join up with Flagg in Las Vegas (the modern-day Sodom). Basically, it's about the struggle between good and evil with people caught in the crossfire. | ||

Because if you know about London Below, then you are invisible to the people of London Above, who will ignore you and forget about you the instant they turn away from you. I won't tell you that Mr. Coup and Mr. Vanadarmarr are looking for someone named Door. I shouldn't be telling you that Richard Myhew helped someone he shouldn't have even noticed..much less, help. And I really shouldn't tell you about Hunter and the Marqie De Carabras that went along with Door and Richard to solve who killed Door's parents. Oh, dear. I think I said too much....oh well then...descend into London Below and I hope you don't run into any velvets. | ||

Yet another fun-filled MST3K collection, filled with "Incredibly Strange" Zombies and Sinister Urges...not to mention Prehistoic Women and Wild Rebels. Rhino keeps shipping out these collections like there's no tomorrow, and I do look forward to seeing more of these collections in the future. THE INCREDIBLY STRANGE CREATURES THAT DIED THE BECOME MIXED-UP ZOMBIES -- Move over, Torgo...Ortega shells are made of people! Far and away the best episode of this collection. Jerry takes his girl to the fair and sees a fortune teller. Jerry, who looks like Nicolas Cage, goes on a killing spree after the fortune teller "bangs his head with a steady cam" and makes him kill people. The wisecracks of Mike and the 'bots are funny. | ||

The 2nd Season of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is when the show hit its stride. The new reason brought new sets and funnier stories. The Bankses house now looks more like a mansion. It's hard to believe that big-time movie star, Will Smith, started his career as a poor kid from Philly on this show. I had a tonsilotomy when I was about 11, and that's the reason why "Ill Will" is one of my favorite episode (plus it has the great Milton Berle in it, along with other guest stars). Swallowed a weed wacker? No, I swallowed a chain saw...while it was still on. | ||

Long before Men In Black or Independce Day, Will Smith starred in this TV Show. The First Complete Season of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air introduces us to Will and his rich Uncle Phil and Aunt Vivian Banks. Oringally, Will is from Philly, but his mom sent him to live with his Aunt and Uncle after he gets into a fight, so saids the song that opens the show. This was a great TV Show and it amazes me that they still show it on TV. | ||

Enter: The Grim Reaper and Station. Station is the universe's greatest genius. Station is actually two aliens combined into one huge alien. Station easily makes "Good" versions of Bill and Ted. This sequel is just as good as the first one...if not better. Few sequels include The Grim Reaper singing! Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves return as Bill and Ted. George Carlin returns as Rufus. Be excellent to each other and party on! | ||

These four tales of horrors are sure to make you think. "Daughter" is about a couple that has lost thier daughter, so they get a pet rabbit that looks like thier daughter who had just died. The couple sign the contact of the pet shop, and of course, break it. A good introduction to the petshop of Count D. "Delicious" is about a bride that killed herself on her wedding night, and comes back as a mermaid. "Despair" is about an out-of-work actor who is haunted by his first role. He gets a Medusa from the petshop, which cheers him up a bit. "Dual" is about Roger and Kelly, who are best friends. Kelly gets killed (well, almost...) and revived in Roger's body. It's hard for me to say which episode is my favorite. This DVD also has a commetary by the American actor who plays Leon and Count D. The commetary is funny. | ||

Natsumi gets a weird-looking statue from her father, who got it from New Guinea. The statue holds Ongo, God of Destruction, who was sealed within the statue by Ahem, God of Earth. When Natsumi breaks the seal, Ahem gives her a necklace of skulls and teaches her a dance. The dance changes Natsumi into the large-breasted flower spirit Mii, who uses magic to fight the forces of evil. Mii's bosom jiggles like jell-o and you're amazed how a person can stay up with those massive mammaries. The animation is good, the plot is actually good (though, it has a LOT of fan service in it). Not for kids. | ||

Vol. 5 of Mystery Science Theater 3000 starts with a bang and ends with one! Once again, Mike Nelson is forced to watch cheesy movies on the SOL. BOGGY CREEK II: AND THE LEGEND CONTINUES -- Okay..this is perhaps the episode with the MOST DIGUSTING scence of any movie. I'm talking about, of course, Clem and his visit to the outhouse. The Legend of Boggy Creek II is actually the third movie. But, who cares, it still stinks. Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders -- One of my favorite episodes. Merlin comes to the modern day to bring good back into the word. "Good" as in magic spells that changes a critic into a baby, a toy that costs $6.66, roasting a cat alive, and burning a dog alive. Merlin's Shop of Mystical Horrors might be a better title. Time Chasers --- Actually, this is a good movie showing the pros and cons of time travel. What's bad about it is the acting...and the sets. The "future" is really a mall, and a alley. And the bad guy has an office in a branch library! The MST3K do a good job mocking time travel. Touch of Satan --- "This is where the fish lives" ...I love that line. The movie is one of those movies that look like someone's last-known photograph (see "Manos: The Hands of Fate"). This guy meets a girl who is a witch, which gets her powers from the Prince of Darkness. In the end, the guy saves the girl by giving his soul to the devil. | ||

Bufo has the gift of speech (and not the gift of silence!). Bufo can mimic voices and noises with ease. Soon, Jennifer saves her little brother from an evil witch that wants Bufo. Not as good as some of the other books in the Magic Shop series. | ||

The BBC did a good job of making this second adventure in Narina. Although, you may frown at the low-grade special effects. Edmund, Lucy and Eustace are sent to Narnia to help Caspian (now king of Narnia) to find the seven missing Lords of Narnia in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Eustace is Lucy and Edmund's horrible cousin who doesn't like being in Narnia until he sees Aslan. | ||

| The Majin Buu Saga is the last saga of DBZ. The Majin Buu Saga is unlike any other saga in DBZ. It doesn't take itself seriously like it did for the Android saga. Majin Buu is a unique villain, though. In the Majin Saga, Goku goes super saiyan 3 and Goten and Trunks fused to become Gotenks! The Majin Buu Saga does have the most death in it. | ||

| The two gundams has a lot in common. They make the pilot ruthless and he'll destroy any and all enemies in his path. Zechs and Heero battle in the two gundams. Meanwhile, Relena surrenders to the Romfellar (spelling?) Foundation, which is attacking the Sanc Kingdom. Romfellar offers Relena to be the spokesperson of the foundation, and make her "Queen Relena" Quarte finds Trowa in the circus. Quarte is dumbfounded as he learns that Trowa doesn't remember him or any of the other gundam pilots. Trowa doesn't even remember piloting a gundam himself! This is extremely late in the series, and if you didn't watch it from the beggining, it doesn't make any sense as the story jumps to one character to the other rapidly. | ||

| Tenchi Universe ends here, or does it? During the last few minutes of the last espiode, it seems everyone is coming back to Earth and re-start the "carnival" that is Tenchi Muyo! Tenchi Defeats the evil ruler of planet Jurai, but not easily. After the battle, Tenchi goes back to Earth. Akeya seems downhearted that Tenchi has returned to Earth. Tenchi and the gang gets help from the Bounty hunter Nagi along with Ken-ohki. Ryoko takes Tenchi to the palace of Jurai, but it seems the Ryoko was badly hurt when she was attacked by Kagato. A great ending! | ||
