| I don't give 5 star reviews very often, so you know that I absolutely love this watch. I've been primarily the utilitarian sort in the past, and I should be at least somewhat embarrassed to note that I've owned more than my share of With this Skagen watch, I succeeded. I have gotten many compliments on it from friends of both genders. The blue color is indeed a stunning dark blue that goes well with most anything I'm wearing (from casual to a suit). And -- more importantly -- it feels great on my wrist, even when I've been sweating, even when it gets splashed with water, etc. The band was easy to adjust, and the watch feels snug without being constricting. Oh, and this watch is hardy, too. I've banged it against a gym locker, dropped it on the floor, and probably more that I'm overlooking (sorry fella!). The case now has but a few tiny, almost imperceptible scratches on it. One last note: It seems that pricing varies *substantially* on this watch, even on Amazon itself, so do your comparison homework ;-). | ||

| The plot, the characters... all reminiscent of a b-movie that, alas, doesn't know it's a b-movie. Characters (and their actions) are described in such broad and clichéd brushes that I actually started to laugh and roll my eyes during the 98 pages I was able to get through before contributing this book to my recycling bin.
No nuances, no surprises, just Krispy-Kreme-artful "suspense" from page to page. Instead of hinting at a character's motivation, Follett continually hits home the point with all the subtlety of hammer. How frustrating! I suppose if you have no interest in an artful or clever turn of phrase and are absolutely positively pained at the thought of, well, thinking, then this is the book for you. And in fairness, I suppose that this book could be a suitable companion for you if you're a jet-lagged and groggy jetsetter and you've already memorized the ads in your seatback Hemisphere's magazine. But otherwise, unless you wish to masochistically insult your intelligence, pick something else. Even a great many books written for teens and children are blessed with greater sophistication and wit than this book. | ||

| Assembly instructions were annoyingly minimalist, but adequate, and it took me just about 10-15 minutes to piece and screw the stand together. Screws are exposed, so it looks a little tacky and cheap (moreso than the picture would indicate), but I personally don't really care. No wobbling, no worries about holding up my large LCD monitor. DOes what it needs to do. | ||

| There's not much to say about this item except that I'm embarrassed and regretful that I didn't send it back during the 30-day return period.
Here's why it's awful: 1) It's a pain to actually GET on your ear! Unlike the wonderful in-ear jabra gel thing I use with my cordless phone at home, this takes at least 20-30 seconds to get on my ear each and every time. Not the sort of thing you want to be doing while driving, which sort of defeats the purpose now, doesn't it? 2) It's uncomfortable when it's against your ear. Rough plastic. 'nuff said. 3) The sound quality -- at least on my end -- is lousy. When there's even a moderate amount of ambient noise, I have a lot of trouble hearing the other party, though they can hear me just fine. Definitely a bummer of an item, and quite a disappointment after my earlier happy experience with Jabra! | ||

| I challenge anyone to listen to the song "Un Aura amorosa" and not be moved. It's absolutely gorgeous. The Swingle Singers, once again, enchant with their crisp, clear and unaffected voices. No obnoxiously showy vibrato here, but rather blissful blending. Some of the songs on these albums may seem a bit silly, but they're offset by the wonderful and often intricate harmonies. Buy this CD-pack! | ||
